There are five common mistakes most article writers make when submitting their articles. Let's take a closer look at each mistake and then what to do instead.
Mistake number one is not using keywords, not knowing what your keywords are, and/or not using them when submitting your articles. And keywords are all throughout the article submission process. You use them in the title, you use them in the summary, the body and the resource box.
Mistake number two has to do with the mistake made when writing your title, and that's wasting the first four words of your title. For example, a title, "The top seven ways to", sounds great, but it's wasting the first four words, because search engines... let's say when somebody goes and types in, say "article writing", and my title is, "The top seven ways to write more and more articles." Not a bad title, probably a good article, but the search engines will read that title because they read left to right, top to bottom just like we do, they read those first four words and they're out of there: this isn't about article writing. So what that title would become instead would be "Article writing - How to write more and more articles" or something like that.
Mistake number three is writing what I call an academic summary. The summary is a description of your article, and so many people will write things like, "This article is about article writing, learn about article writing." Oh, how boring! I am not compelled to go grab that article and read it.
Mistake number four - there are so many mistakes that can go into what you can do with the article body, because that's where most of the content is. That would make sense. The biggest mistake I see is what I call a "slapped-together body." A slapped-together body. Folks just kind of throw in the information in their article body field and move on.
Mistake number five is in the resource box. There's a resource box with no call to action. You don't ask them to do anything, you don't tell them what the next step is, you don't ask them to do anything. That is a huge mistake.
Avoid these mistakes and use these tips when submitting your articles.
