We tend to be fixated to our earlier ideas, so we rather go the familiar routes and are not eager to find new creative keywords for our work at home internet business. That is a pity, because the old thinking brings the old results and the keyword market changes all the time.
The right angle to think your work at home internet business keywords is the consumer angle, to try to think like the prospective does but in the way which supports your business plan. It is not so simple to judge what search terms the searchers type, when they try to find information about your business topic.
One quick example from the world of the work at home internet business: most often we try to sell the benefits of our program to the prospects, like the amount of income etc. But should we in stead present conditions, that exist in the prospects life, that cause them to search the Net.
The natural way to find keywords is guessing, i.e. we try to guess again and again which keywords the searchers are using, and the result is most obviously the same as earlier. But we should use methods, which bring us results about the searchers real behaviour.
Now the key is to find work at home internet business keywords, which describe well your topic and the website nature and are so called low competition keywords. Optimizing your website along these keywords, it is possible to rank high in the search result pages and to grab most of the traffic. You see, being number one or two on these pages gives you more traffic than being number 15 on the high demand page.
Often these kind of work at home internet business keywords are so called long tail keywords or keyphrases, which target the offer better than the high demand search terms. When the page rank depends mostly on the amount of backlinks, they are not needed so many with the long tail search phrases.
The two key issues are the amount of competition and the sharp targeting, i.e. how well the search term focuses to the topic and nature of the landing page. The typing errors can be very useful as keywords, because many internet business marketers do not use them, because of the error.
It is useful to expand the scope of thinking and try to figure out the many reasons, why a prospect wants the work at home internet business, which you offer: income, freedom, self-esteem, social respect, success, image etc. A well working website has the answer to these several needs and handles the topic from many angles. The truth is that the searchers search information using lots of keywords.
The more information you have on your website about the various aspects of your theme, the more you will give to the people and the more keywords you need in order to fulfil the needs of the different searchers. This is important: do the keyword research regularly and use lots of work at home internet business keywords, so you will grab more searchers from the huge flow of the Net searches.
Too many work at home internet business websites do not widen their scope, but use the most obvious keywords again and again and will get the same results. And, this is the worst, they try to climb the search engine results pages, which have too heavy competition. It is a mission impossible.
Effective marketing steps out from the traditional box and does not talk only about the product, but about the prospects life. It is important to understand the benefits of the wideness of the prospects needs: it is not only earnings or some other one term, but a wide sortiment of needs, both rational and emotional, which determine the search term the searcher will use.
After the searcher has landed to your work at home internet business page, he is able to do the choices, i.e. which information he will pick. When you will research this wider need sortiment of the prospects, you will find keywords, which bring lots of good traffic and are longer lasting, i.e. the page rank will stand longer and do not need so many new backlinks all the time.
Now you see that the question is about the behaviour of the prospect, which is much wider topic than just the product you offer. This new angle has a great influence on your results, because the target group will feel that you know their needs in depth and they will respond better to your work at home internet business offers.
Switch to your prospects point of view instead of your own and you will find a totally new world and also understand better the benefits and the reasons, why the searchers search the information about your topic. You have to stop finding keywords, try to find needs in stead, because they will describe better the real reasons for the searches. This you can reach by typing, not keywords, but sentences into the keyword research toolbar. Be creative and a little bit foolish and that will open new paths to your work at home internet business. And remember that the rich, fresh content is the king.

If you are looking around for a search engine optimisation company to carry out some SEO work on your website, then make sure you choose the right colour hat. There are a large number of companies that adopt a fast and unethical approach to SEO, known as black hat SEO, while there are a smaller number or companies that implement ethical SEO work, known as white hat SEO. The key to choosing the right colour, which is obviously the white, is as follows
Before you even think of taking on a search engine optimisation company, the first thing is to shop around and see what is out on the market. The same principles would apply if you were to buy a new computer. You would look at a few models, prices and what each model has to offer. If an SEO company was to offer a service that would guarantee you top ranks, there is a very good chance they are wearing a black hat. No SEO company can guarantee top ranks since they have no direct control over the search engines and their ranking algorithms. They can however mention that top ranks are highly achievable due to their previous success with other clients.
Be sure to look at a companies portfolio page (if they have one on their website or simply ask them) and carry out some research on their clients. This can be done by looking at the clients website performance within the search engines for the selected keywords they have been optimised for. Another good idea would be to write a courtesy email to the client asking for a reference on the SEO company they have used to optimise their website.
The most important giveaway on a black hat SEO company is the way they would describe their services. If a company cannot go into detail on how they carry out their work (meaning they are very vague), and this involves justifying each step of their work, then it would be best to avoid their services. A proper SEO firm will be more than happy to explain their services in detail and justify their reasons for using such techniques. If you cannot quiet understand the techniques they use then be sure to do some research on the internet and read SEO articles that explain each technique. If you find that their work fits along the lines of your research and that it is all ethical, then they are a company you should put on your list.
A last point to mention, a company should stress the phrase patience is the key to success with SEO. If a company claims that they can achieve results very fast, then it is time to start running. In theory, SEO that is carried out correctly on a website will take time until the results start to show (most cases 3 to 6 months but could be longer).
Would you like to know what could happen to your website if you hire a black hat SEO company, regardless of how big or small your website is in terms of brand recognition? An example would be the story of the BMW German website. They hired a black hat SEO firm to carry out some work on their website and that resulted in their site being banned from the Google ranks. So it is best to do your research on SEO by reading articles such as this one and question a companies approach on search engine optimisation. This will ensure that you have selected the clean white hat and that your website will not be tarnished from the black.

It is vital to select the right keywords for your webpage in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in order to rank well in Search Engine rather than generic single keyword or double keyword phrases, and also to get your money's worth if you're advertising using Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign. I recommended you opting for less popular keywords which are rarely noticed or exploited.
Long Tail Keyword is a specific 3 or more keyword phrases. You will attract more targeted visitors if you use this power and specific long tail keyword in your keyword meta tags, and people who are searching for this long tail keyword has a trend towards buying something.
Let me illustrate this idea, let say that your visitors are seeking information on holiday vacation package to buy. If they're using the "travel package" keyword in the search engine then they would probably just want to surf around and still searching for something that would probably catch their eyes. If you tried to use this phrase in your keyword meta tags, your webpage would definitely plunged deeply in search engine results.
But if your visitor typing "Royal Caribbean Cruise Package" keyword in the search engine, I think all of you agree that this type of visitor are looking for a specific holiday package. So build your web pages with a lot of pages with unique title, meta tag, header tag and content based on your chosen long tail keyword for each specific page. Don't focus on just two or three generic keywords, but focus on several specific long tail keywords which are easy to rank in major search engine. Please bear in mind that don't build your web pages weighting too much on this specific long tail keyword because of the small traffic coming from this long tail keyword. The rule is 30% on generic keywords and 70% on long tail keyword!
Finding the right keywords is a very important step in SEO. Take some time to find the best long tail keywords and then optimize your web pages for these specific long tail keywords to get a high ranking in any major search engine which will lead you to a profitable bottom line.

If you don't create a successful strategy for marketing your web site, you can't build a profitable online business. It's therefore imperative to drive thousands of visitors to your web site, then convert them to paying customers. How do you accomplish this?
Use several marketing strategies
Don't put all your eggs into one basket by only employing one marketing strategy. You could see evidence of this during the latest Google update in which many commercial web sites which once had top rankings, dropped out of existence, thus instantly losing sales.
By creating more than one strategy to market your web site, you can soon see which one works the best by attracting the most visitors.
Market with consistency
Set up a clear daily, weekly, monthly and yearly marketing plan for your web site and stick to it. It is the lifeblood of your business.
Test marketing
Continually test all your web site marketing strategies to see which one works the best. Eliminate those that are not profitable.
6 successful marketing strategies:
Search engine optimization
Here are the locations where you should include your most important keywords or keyword phrases:
1. Meta tags (invisible)
Title tag
Description tag
Keyword tag
Alt tag
2. Page content (visible) - Weave your best keywords throughout the content of your pages. Focus on the first 250 words on your page and only use one to three keyword phrases per page of content. Include keywords in your H1 tag (main title) and H2, H3 tags (subheadings) as well as the hyperlinks in your site or and in outgoing links.
Search engines and directories
3. Submit to major search engines - Google is currently the main search engine to get listed in. If you get listed there, you will also get listed in AOL, Netscape, and Yahoo and it's still free. This may change in the near future as the competition heats up. Other free listings also include directories such as ODP. Do a search on Google to seek out your niche directories ie for sunglasses, look for sunglass directories.
Here are the other search engines to submit to:

4. Pay per click (PPC) search engines - if you wish to generate traffic to your web site immediately, set up a Google AdWords or Overture campaign.

Email Marketing
5. Create a newsletter - most folks don't buy from you immediately but need to be contacted several times to put them in the buying mood. Place a subscription box on every page of your web site. Send out your newsletter every two weeks to keep in touch with your subscribers. Be sure to include original content (not rehashed content) along with new products you wish to introduce to them.
6. Email Course or tutorial - set up an autoresponder that will deliver quality information over a period of seven days. This means you have multiple chances of contacting your visitor and promote your product or service at the same time.

This is a very easy one for me to review. I joined Photomax in 2005 and was very excited, as the digital photography was becoming the only way to take pictures. They are great in so many ways.
Just for signing up you are able to get 20 free prints of any digital photograph you have. They provide a very safe and state of the art way to store you digital photographs for free. This safely protects all your photos in case your hard drive crashes. I have known too many people that have lost every photo because they didn't have a safe way to back them up. Photomax has computers that are in granite vaults in Salt Lake City, UT. These photos are backed up there on a continuous basis so they will never be lost.
They provide a nice way to organize your photos into web albums so they are easier to keep track of. The free level provides you 5 GB of storage, which I have been using for 2 years now and have only used up 19% of my allotted space. You are able to send in all of your old photos that are stored away and they will scan them and put them online for you. They will also send you back all your photos in the same condition you sent them along with a CD of your photos.
You are able to make the cutest holiday cards and video DVDs. I had a mug made with my son and grandson, a classic photo that I wanted to always remember. They have some beautiful leather bound photo books made with high quality gloss paper that you can create a nice gift with. There are unlimited gift ideas to choose from.
The business was fun to get into, but a bit expensive. I had to purchase the $199 kit and commit to $100 to come out of my account every single month. This was in order for me to even recruit others in the business. So, it is a way to ensure purchasing products if you want to grow your business. They make this mandatory so that it will not be deemed as a pyramid. There has to be product moved on a regular basis and doing the auto draft insures that the product will be purchased. Also with your membership, you will be given a free website to market your business.
Photomax is a division of Nuskin and a product of Big Planet. They are a Direct Marketing plan that began in 2005. I had started a few months after their launch. They do run on a Multi-level marketing plan where you duplicate yourself in as many downlines as you would like.
Their market is based on a trend called Disruptive technology because it is something that affects our daily lives. They want to be right up with technology and keep their products fresh and of high quality. They are a state of the art solution for customers taking care of needs that truly exist. This is a trend of the Personal Content Arena. Focused on anyone that takes digital pictures or watches videos or uses a cell phone.
The Photomax Company is part of NSE, which trades on the NY Stock Exchange and operating in over 40 countries. Last year, NSE paid out over $550 million dollars in commissions to representatives in their company.
Each time someone buys from your Photomax site, you make money, every time you sign someone up and they sell products, you make money. This is a business of people telling other people about their business. I can't say that I made any money, but I did try to recruit, had a few that signed up and dropped out. I attended many meetings and had a few recruiting meetings where there were many that did show up. There is great support from your upline and they really want you to be successful at it.

If you have a well-designed and visually appealing website but can't seem to attract quality traffic, you need to choose and utilize a good traffic-generating technique that will not only drive interested online users to your website but most importantly, pull up your page ranking by making your web content useful to the eyes of the search engines. You can achieve these and more by writing and submitting quality and well-written articles to various publishing sites.
Here are the 3 brand new methods to explode your article marketing:
1. Carefully choose your topics. You should write about topics that are highly relevant to your target niche and interesting to your potential clients so you can drive quality and targeted traffic to your website. If you are running out of great ideas to write about, you can visit relevant forums that are frequented by your target market or read articles from publishing sites.
2. Create outstanding articles. To increase the chances of your articles being published online, you have to make sure that they are well-written, content-rich, timely, accurate, informative, concise, and keyword-rich. By doing so, you will not only please the publishers but you will also be able attract more online users to pick your articles and have them republished.
3. Know your target market. This is one of the basic elements that can guide you to create articles that are focused and targeted to your potential clients' needs. Before you even tap on your key board, make sure that you have a solid idea on what your potential readers are looking for in an article. By doing so, you will be more effective in collecting and presenting ideas and information that will be useful to them.

Always remember that you have to write the good original focussed content yourself to ensure that the spiders see it as original. What you need to do from a search engine optimisation angle, is to start writing the press release content first. Submit that content to all the submission areas like your blogs, forums, press releases and article submission companies. However, before you submit your original press release content, to these many submission areas, to ensure original content for the Google spider, you need to add another paragraph on each occasion, before submission, to each post before you submit or post it to the relevant submission company.
This is critical and is one of the basic rules of effective and successful SEO. Do not submit the same material to every submission company, because keep in mind that a one word change in a website or a content submission makes it original content from the Google Spider's Eye. So, to ensure that you have original content, add at least a few sentences or better still, a whole extra paragraph to the content of your post on each occasion before you submit it.
This saves you a massive amount of time as each article does not have to be completely unique. Remember that each submission area will create a different link for each post that you submit with the extra paragraph of information. These are the back links that are vital and critical to point to your website that you are referring to in the content and this will drive it to the top of the search engines. So each link is unique and each post has a paragraph of unique content when compared to the previous submission.
A word of advice here is to build your own website to promote whatever business you are involved in. It is absolutely essential for you to build your own website to promote whatever you decide to market on the internet. The problem with most Affiliate websites is that every body has the same splash page and they all share the same splash pages. This is not good for search engine optimisation. So build your own informational website to promote your product and service. Place your business url in your website and then promote that website which you have created by applying all the techniques that have been discussed here previously and in the future.

Keyword density is a calculation of the number of times the selected keyword appears on the web page. Keyword density is always expressed as a percentage of the total word content on a given web page. Generally speaking, keyword density is the ratio of the word that is being searched for (the keyword) against the total number of words appearing on your web page.
Suppose you have 100 words on your webpage (not including HMTL code used for writing the web page), and you use a certain keyword five times in the content. The keyword density on that page is got by simply dividing the total number of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page.
If a particular keyword has a higher density on your web page, then the likelihood of your page obtaining better search engine ranking increases. For example, a visitor who is looking for information on "Search Engine Ranking" may search for things like "search engine positioning, search engine ranking", "search engine placement", "keyword density", "top ranking", and the like. After you have collected your list of keywords, do NOT simply dump those keywords into a senseless list on your web page.
Simple steps to check the density:
Copy and paste the content from an individual web page into a word-processing software program like Word or Word Perfect. In addition to keyword density calculations, it verifies that your site is not overloaded and that it has the correct distribution of profitable keywords in the most critical locations. Using the total word count for the page and the total number of keywords you can now calculate the keyword density. Once your page closely matches the keyword density in all categories/tags you have likely designed a page that will most probably score in the top of the search engines.
Some search engine marketers weights deemed as "negative". I found many of these documents belonging to search engine marketing and optimization (SEM, SEO) specialists. There is also a different level of tolerance between the different search engines as to the degree of density permitted before a penalty is imposed.
Keep in mind that the search engines are constantly changing their relevancy criteria when scoring pages for keyword relevancy. This information can sometimes be found
in information bases pertaining to each search engine.
Every Search Engine has its own techniques for scoring pages and you must first learn what analysis options are important for your selected Search Engine before designing your page and get a successful scoring.
The various search engines, including Google, Yahoo, and MSN Search consider keyword density as part of their search algorithm. Search engines today are measuring keyword density as a factor in assigning relevancy ratings to web pages. On the other hand, if your keyword density is too high then the search engine may penalize you for "keyword stuffing".
LSI is changing many of the the search engines ranking factors these days, so in reality
there is not much knowledge on how long a ranking factor like keyword density will be an issue.
Davin Ogden has various websites on the internet. Davinatorbiz.com provides you with all the tools and proper learning information on LSI, serious seo strategies, and improving your search engine ranking to give you the results your after in the search engines.

The Aim
The aim of Search Engine Optimization is to enable the search engines to find your site and index it. Whenever your content related keywords are typed in a search engine, your site should reflect in the first page. An optimized website should have proper and meaningful content for the users. To make profits target the dedicated traffic.
Appropriate Keywords And Keyword Phrases
Right keywords and phrases are important for achieving Search Engine Optimization. Keywords help in grouping your site with other similar websites in the directories and search engines. A search engine, after receiving the keywords to be searched, comes up, in a matter of seconds, with a list of websites in relation to the keywords. If you use the right keyword then the chances of your site appearing on top of the list are increased. Hence, there is more probability of users going to your site. There are many tools like Google keyword generator that help you get the right keywords for your website.
Using the right keyword will get traffic to your site but the titles and subtitles used on your page are also of relevance to retain the traffic. Each page should have the primary keyword in the title. The keywords and phrases should lead them to meaningful content. A thorough knowledge of this aspect is imperative for Search Engine Optimization.
'Content Is King'
As the keywords are important for a site to get traffic, content is more important to retain the traffic flow. If you give frivolous content in your articles, then you would not hold anybody's attention. This means that the user will not come back to your site and eventually that have a negative effect on your Search Engine Optimization. A bad omen for webmasters who depend a lot on online business! It is also advisable to keep updating your content to give your site a fresh feel.
You can put up interesting articles that are informative and humorous. This will get it readership and you can link it to your site. You can also put up your blog or join a discussion forum where you can put up a post with a link to your site at the bottom.
To help you on with your Search Engine Optimization, you can consult a white-hat SEO that would give you sound advice. They are professionals that have full knowledge of the different strategies involved in a successful SEO. It makes sense to take their help to increase traffic to your site and subsequently increase your profits.

Technology in the realm of the web is ever changing. However for it to metamorphose to the extent that content, link building, and link baiting become redundant has not happened yet. This dream of slow growing sites or of those that are worthy of recognition but get swallowed by the big bad wolf (search engines), is yet to come true. According to those in the know this will happen only when the Semantic Web becomes a reality or when a brand new protocol takes the place of present ones.
As of now for search engines like Yahoo, Google, and MSN links and unique content are the keys to high rankings.
In the competitive business of the internet you must make use of all the help you can get. Consider using a publicist who specializes in the net and think about hiring an expert to handle the tiresome and nerve wrecking business of link building. Acknowledged experts are WeBuildPages among many others.
Gurus who have years of net experience recommended that you should avoid:
1. Submitting dummy content in the hope of building links or using one page that has been successful time and again with few changes.
2. Using paid directories the returns are never useful. You will just loose money at an average of USD 15 a hit.
3. Using spamming to build links. The worst thing is to ask questions and post answers yourself using varied IDs for your own site.
4. Using what are known as garbage links.
5. Using stolen or copied content.
6. Making use of shams like fake mails that tempt people with great amounts of money.
Links should be built on strong web presence and excellent meaningful content. Only the right path will lead to sustaining success. Try:
Providing easy to comprehend content and make it exciting and interesting. If content is useful word of it will spread like wildfire and links will pour in.
Ensure that the content is well written and has no punctuation or grammar errors. This will ensure that schools, universities, and libraries too will link to your pages.
Establish your status by including a picture, writing briefly about the site and your aims and objectives.
Submit material to ezines and article sites like EzineArticles, GoArticle, and iSnare.
Use syndicated press releases to promote your site
Use fair not foul means to build links or link baiting. Check for orphaned URLs and remove them instantly. What you must do is spring clean, create, update, and delete URLS regularly. Set yourself a schedule of sorts. Employ methods to check dead pages like examining server logs and jotting down all pages that give a 404 file not found error.
Find out as much as you can about the art of link building. A good source of information is Eric Wards http://www.urlwire.com/ and in depth articles as well as talks. There are other great sources like Patrick and Andys blog: http://www.linkbuildingblog.com/ .
Although link building and linkbaiting are buzz words today and are creating great excitement. The process has been in use by serious content-friend webmasters since the beginnings of the World Wide Web.

One of the most popular methods of marketing these days is to use Internet marketing to promote a product. The great thing about Internet marketing is that you don't have to have a website, a whole lot of money, or even your own product. There are a ton of people making a lot of good money online by promoting other people's products. The key to becoming successful as an Internet marketer is found in three words, search engine optimization.
There are a variety of ways you can go about having your product page or article content optimized to achieve high rankings in the search engines. One method that is used by Internet marketers is to hire an SEO company or firm to produce high quality keyword saturated content that will help them get listed high in the search engines. This can be quite expensive and if you have a small budget is not highly recommended. The other method used by Internet marketers is to purchase SEO software to help them optimize their websites or product pages.
There are three reasons why it is more beneficial for individuals to purchase SEO software rather than hiring a SEO company to produce content for you.
The first reason it is beneficial to purchase SEO software is that it is only a one-time fee. If you are on a limited budget for advertising your product, you may not be able to afford the services of an SEO firm. If you have no prior experience and know very little about the ins and outs of how SEO works, this could be severely detrimental to your business. The price to purchase SEO software is much less expensive in the long haul, and is something that you can use over and over and over again without paying for it ever again.

Article marketing is an easy, powerful and effective way to market your business.
Here's a checklist you can use for every article you write.
1. Know your goal for each article
What's your goal for your article? Your goal may be to provide links and traffic to your Web site, or to promote a product or your services.
Write your goal down. When you're writing, it's very easy to forget what your goal was.
2. What's your reader's takeaway?
Each article needs to have a takeaway - a benefit - for your reader. This enhances your credibility, and makes it more likely that the reader will visit your site via the links in your resource box to see what else you have to offer.
Write down your takeaway.
3. Develop your keywords so your readers will find you
Research the most appropriate keywords for your article. Collect five to 10. You'll emphasize two to three in the article, the others will be added to article's Web page meta tags.
4. Develop an intriguing title that's relevant and includes a promise
Think of your article's title as a headline. It's the most important part of your article, because it attracts attention, and it should include the promise of a benefit to the reader.
Make sure the title is relevant to your article, and includes your most important keyword.
5. Write the article, delivering on your promise
When you're writing your article, ensure that you deliver on the promise you made in the title. Unless you deliver, your reader will have no incentive to click through to your site - he no longer trusts you, because you don't keep your promises.
6. Write the resource box for the article
Your "resource box" has a single goal - to get the reader to click through to your landing page for the article. Make another promise of a benefit if the reader clicks.
7. Post the article on your site
Add the article to your Web site as site content, adding links to products and services relevant to the article.
8. Post the article to an article directory
Should you post your article to several article directories for promotion and traffic, or just one?
Some article marketers believe that you should post your articles to many directories. However, I prefer to post to a single directory. It saves time and I haven't noticed any benefits from posting to many directories. Your mileage may be different.
So there you have it - your article marketing checklist. It will increase the speed at which you can write effective articles by giving you a method to follow.

I am sure that if you are reading this article then you must have attempted marketing your business with this method of marketing or you have given up trying to market this way because the results were very disappointing.
In this article I would like to share with you the top 5 mistakes that people make when trying to market their business using article marketing.
1) Inconsistency
The number one reason that people fail with this method is that they are too inconsistent. You cannot write one day and then not again for a few days. You need to do this every day and be very strict about it. In fact you can apply this to your home based internet business as well. You need focus and persistence to succeed.
2) Not writing enough articles
To succeed online with this method you need to be writing at least ten to twenty articles a day. If you are doing less than this you simply will not be making enough noise in the market place to succeed.
3) Drive traffic to a squeeze page
The number one thing that you need to do to succeed online is build a list. This is so that you can market over and over again to your prospects.
4) Overcome writer's block
As you write every day there will be days when you just do not feel like writing. It is very important that you go to gym or do some activity to keep yourself energized. So that when you get back you can start again.
5) Create a killer bio
Your bio contains the link to your squeeze page. It is very important that you have your unique selling proposition here so that people will want to click through to your web site.

If there is one easy way to make money online, it is through writing and distributing your articles to various publishing sites. This process which is commonly referred to as article marketing can effectively drive quality traffic to your website and augment your sales potentials.
Here are the 4 outstanding ways to make money through article marketing:
1. Constantly improve your writing skills. This is one of the most effective secrets if you want to get ahead of the pack. Make it a habit to write articles on a regular basis or read articles and ebooks that can effectively help you smoothen out the rough edges of your writing. By doing so, you can be assured that you will be able to deliver better articles each time you write.
2. Create killer resource box. If your resource box contains your website's URL alone, you are missing a lot of opportunities. To make it work for you, make sure that you include your name, your title, your elevator pitch and your powerful call to action. You can also offer incentives or communicate your desire to help to make it even more enticing.
3. Multiply the number of your articles. One of the elements that can guarantee you success in article marketing is the quantity of your output. Remember, the more articles you submit, the more quality inbound links you will obtain for your website.
4. Outsource. If you are like most webmasters who are always swamped with other marketing activities or someone who doesn't have a knack for writing, you can still utilize this marketing tool by hiring ghostwriters or article posters. Just make sure that your ghostwriters understand your niche very well and have the ability to create articles that are targeted to the needs and demands of your potential clients.

The world of internet marketing is changing so quickly that you may find your head spinning. Do you find yourself saying things like:
If we had only known that niche marketing was going to be so wildly popular we would have focused on that instead of MLM.
If we had only known that Google was going to change its algorithm and the rules of AdWords were going to change we would have...
Do yourself a favor and stop beating yourself up! You are not alone. It is a safe bet that the only constant in internet marketing will be change! The plethora of new product offers that are constantly dropping into your email inbox are proof of that. You know Google will keep changing its algorithm and new search engines may even challenge Google someday.
Here are a few tips to avoid getting overwhelmed by this constant sea of change.
CONTINUOUS EDUCATION
Know that to have long-term success in internet marketing, you cant just rely on luck. This is a serious profession which requires serious study. There are techniques which work and some that wont. In this respect, internet marketing is like any other profession.
Due to this rapid rate of change, you cant allow yourself to become complacent. There are always new materials, new techniques and ideas to evaluate.
Most of us learn either from recognized experts in our field or from peers or from our own experience. One great way to pick up information is by participating in internet marketing forums. These are like online classrooms where you can ask questions and participate in healthy exchanges between marketers of all experience levels. While participating in the forums, youll probably pick up some traffic to your website as a nice by-product!
PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF
During a presidential campaign in the not too distant past, one candidate was accusing the other of being a waffler. This term could be applied to countless people who cant seem to decide what to market next. They get excited and start with a product or system, investing lots of time and money in getting it up and running. It could be anything from e-books sold on mini-sites to selling on eBay to AdWords.
Then, one day they hear of another new system (probably one created by someone who claims "the gurus are angry with me for giving away all their secrets..."). Easily discouraged by their lack of results with the first opportunity, they put that to the side and try the new one. This can quickly turn into a cycle where they try something for a short time, get discouraged, throw it away and try the next thing.
This is a very costly way of doing business. The nature of the internet business is that it takes time to build momentum. So, you must give your investment time to bear fruit.
TAKE TIME TO REGROUP
If you are guilty of chasing too many ideas at once, take time to regroup. Make a list of all of the products or ideas you have. From this list, determine which of these it will be feasible for you to pursue. This is going to depend, at least in part, on your level of knowledge with the product and what your interests are. Work with your strengths. It is more time-efficient for you to focus on a product or idea which you know inside-out, rather than investing yet more time on a new idea that you just became familiar with.
Next, devise an achievable plan. Focus on this ONE thing youve chosen and set a realistic timeline to achieve results. Don't be in a hurry. If you have a day job, realize that the time you have to devote to your internet venture is limited. The important thing is for you to work at a steady pace until your idea takes hold and the money starts flowing in. That will give you the energy to continue.
DISCIPLINE IS THE KEY
Navigating through the changing seas of the internet marketing game requires discipline. Make sure you are a continual learner, but at the same time, dont try to apply too many of those ideas at once!

When I started submitting Ezine articles, I never realized their true power. I was just happy to see the articles being published.
I expected to get some traffic and hopefully some sales. I would have laughed if you told me those early words would still be floating around the web over five years later.
Well, smack me on the wrist and call me shorty, they are. You would think that's a good thing and it is except... That's the operative word, "except." The little critters are still multiplying around the web like rabbits in heat, but there is a little problem. Actually, the problem isn't so little.
This darn problem haunts me. At least a couple of times a week it drives me insane. Whenever I run across it I feel like the dullest axe in the shed.
If I were double jointed, I'd kick myself in the "hello there."
So what is this dumb mistake that:
Outdated resource boxes with links leading to that dreaded 404 error.
I'm afraid to guess how much money and traffic I'm losing. It's a nightmare. Those babies are doing their part, but crazy John has made the ultimate dumb mistake.
How did this happen? How could I end up looking like the "village idiot?"
The only answer I can give is, "I didn't realize."
I never realized how viral articles were. I had no idea that little articles could circle the globe for years.
I didn't see the big picture. I wrote those resource boxes with no regard for the future.
How can you avoid making the same mistake?
1. If you're going to promote an affiliate program, don't link directly.
Sometimes programs just disappear. Other times, you may find the program hasn't lived up to your expectations.
Set up a redirect page on your website. If the program disappears, or you no longer wish to promote it, you can reset the page to lead wherever you choose.
2. Don't lead directly to your opt in list.
You never know when a list may change their pricing or services. For one reason or another you may change listservs.
A better option is to set up a page on your site to capture addresses. If you leave your present service, you can edit the page to lead to your new list.
If I had set up my links according to option number one for affiliate programs, or two for list building, I'd have kept the leads flowing and the orders coming for years.
Creating killer articles can drive traffic and pull in profits for years. So avoid the mistakes of this "dumb monkey" and reap the full rewards of your efforts.

Article marketing is one of the absolute basics of internet marketing. Having articles all over the internet is a marketing method which enables you to invest some time and effort right now and reap the benefits for years to come. This article will explore some of the advantages of article marketing and its subtleties in order to help internet marketers to use it to their best advantage.
Anyone who's been doing internet marketing for a while knows that writing articles is imperative to the success of one's online campaigns. Having articles in various article directories is a great way of providing links back to your site, thus building your site's popularity. When a page has many links back to it it helps to attain good positioning in the search engines. An article directory which has a high page rank is the best place to submit articles to as this helps to boost your page's rank.
Bear in mind that people take articles they enjoy and publish them in their ezines and on their websites, further providing you, the author, with more back links and publicity.
When you have articles of your own posted in article directories you can slowly establish your name as an expert in your niche. People will be more apt to trust your recommendations.
Although it may be tempting to write a bunch of articles in one day and submit them to a few directories, exercise caution with this. Why is that? Because Google is quite sensitive about a sudden surge in traffic to a link. Although we would all love a sudden surge in traffic, it may cause Google to de-index your site in order to look in to the reason for the sudden popularity of your site. It's better to submit articles every couple of days.
In the process of article marketing, don't submit an article that is already on your own website. It may be considered duplicate content and you don't want that! Google would consider the site which is higher ranking to be the originator of the article (the article directory) and your site's page rank may suffer.
Don't submit PLR articles without making changes!! There is so much PLR available today (free and otherwise) and it is very tempting to just grab it and use it. Don't do it. The purpose of these articles is to provide you with a basis for an article. Read it and rewrite it in your own words. Duplicate articles could be rejected by the article directories and the directories may just decide to ban your account.
Try to use good keywords in your article's title and also in the beginning of the first paragraph. Sprinkle your chosen keyword all over the article as well.
Most article directories allow you to use hyperlinks. For sophisticated and efficient article marketing try to use anchor text that relates to the keywords you are targeting. This will help you attain a better position in the SERP's (search engine result pages). If you are targeting the word "gardening tips" make sure to hyperlink to your website from each mention of the term in your article. This will help your gardening site be higher in the search results for the term "gardening tips".
Try to remember that people will be reading your article. Make it readable for them and don't just concentrate on the density of your keywords. If people don't enjoy reading the article, they won't bother reaching the end of it, which is where you will lead them to your site from the ever-important resource box!
In summary, article marketing is a very important, even critical, element of internet marketing. Every internet marketer should be making the effort to become proficient in article marketing and learning how to write decent quality articles in as little time as possible. It will bring in terrific long term results.
Happy writing!

I am certainly no writer. Actually to those whom know me I am more of a ranter than anything. I have been writing on and off for many years (started a book on a typewriter back in the 80s). Do I have a style? I have no bloody idea, you tell me. I sure hope I do or else theres pretty good chance you havent even made it this far. I have recently been working closely with an editor friend to refine my limited talents. Over the course of our chats I decided an article about Article Marketing while sounding redundant, would be worth writing.
Not another one of these? Yes, I know there are more than few article marketing pieces out there, I am taking a slightly different angle. We are going to look at what makes a successful article marketing campaign so you can get the most out of a competitive marketplace. Competitive? I thought it was about getting Back Links you say? Thats where it starts to go wrong. The number one most common use of Article Repositories, is usually to get Back Links NOT as the full powered Marketing tool that it can be. This is what I often find short-sighted.
Lets look at some of the benefits and usage for Article Marketing programs; Surf-in traffic; This is really the number one reason. Above and beyond all else a well written article and marketed article will bring you traffic in the short and long term. I get traffic to our sites that came from an article I had written and marketed over a year ago. If you write a well thought out article that has lasting value, it will live out on the internet for quite some time. Traffic is always my goal and this is a major value to Article Marketing.
Link Profile development; This while not a primary focus for me, is a great additional benefit. Search engines, to a certain extent, base rankings from the number of Back Links (or In-Bound Links) a web site has pointing to it. This gives Article Marketing its second value. Through use of proper Link Text and keyword/phrase usage, your Article Marketing campaign can have a positive effect on your rankings and search referrers. For full effectiveness be sure to learn about building your Link Profile ( methinks I should write a Building your Link Profile article FIRST and then link to it. Thoughts?)
Building brand; well written articles and building a body of work will also help build the Brand of your company or yourself as an authoritative figure on the subject matter. This is also invaluable to any enterprise or undertaking. The opposite is also true that poorly written, shoddy or lazy articles can harm your reputation. Do it right or dont do it at all.
Tracking the Articles extra sensory perception
An over-looked area that makes it a true Program is the tracking. Dont just write and article, publish it onto the Dub-Dub-Dub a leave her to float away. How cruel, cold and uncaring. Watch the progress of the article. See how many times it is downloaded and viewed on the publishing site. Search Google for the Article Title in quotation marks, ( eg; My Article Title) to see how many times it was syndicated by other sites. See if anyone has reviewd it or quoted it and send them a thank-you. Tracking will also allow you to see which articles do the best. Now look at the style you wrote it in, the topic and other common factors. Soon you can start to choose topics and styles that will get you the most coverage with each successive article. Fun stuff huh?
Quality over quantity
Certainly a catch phrase these days in SEO (links, content etc), but it does hold true. You see, throwing out a ton of simplistic, non-engaging articles will do little more than garner a few back links. A well written article does so much more and you can even expect MORE back links as the eventual distribution/syndication of the article should be wider due to the lack of quality competitors.
A quality article will also be better received and promoted by the managers of your distribution sources (article repositories, e-magazines, newsletter editors). My number one 'editor in chief' Mark, certainly laments the vast number of pure drivel that arrives on his virtual doorstep every day. If you can entertain the distribution mangers and editors, you have won half of the battle. To that end I would also consider getting professional help. You heard me seek help!. With my SEO Company I keep professional writers around. I let them so what they do best and then my SEO guys do what they do best, optimize the article. Sure it raises my over-all cost, but if you factor in the many benefits of crafting professional work, its always worth it.
The main point is to not look at article marketing as simply another Link Drop. It is far more than that. Make sure you leverage it for all its worth.

Thousands, if not millions of marketers are growing more and more satisfied with article marketing not only because it delivers great results but also, it is very easy to utilize. Anyone can actually do it even if they don't have the money to spare, as long as they can write quality articles, they will surely succeed in this traffic-generating technique. Here are the latest 5 targeted methods to increase your article marketing:
1. Make sure that your articles are informative. Remember, the only reason why online users will open your article is because they are looking for useful information. To meet this need, fill your articles with data that are relevant to your potential clients.
2. Write articles that are relevant to your products and services. The reason behind this is very obvious. You are writing articles to promote your offerings, thus, articles that are not related to your products will not help you close a sale.
3. Proofread your articles. Before you submit your articles to publishing sites, make sure that they are free from any error. Also, make sure that your ideas are presented in a logical way and your sentences are easy to understand.
4. Pick the best publishing sites. Not all publishing sites are created equal; some are not even indexed by Google! To make sure that your articles get the exposure they need, stick to those publishing sites that have high page ranking and great online traffic like EzineArticles.com.
5. Cross reference your articles. Once you got the attention of an online user, make sure he or she can get an instant access to your other articles. You can include link on your resource box that will take the reader to your other articles for further reading.
