As soon as you get into search engine optimization, you'll start hearing new phrases like keyword research. You're probably wondering what keyword research is and why is it critical?
Keyword research is a beautiful thing. Why? It is a glimpse into the minds of your potential customers and clients. What if you could gain access to a database of information on how your prospects thought about the products you are offering? What if you could identify the exact words they used in their minds? Couldn't you tailor your site and marketing to really take of advantage of that information? On the web, you can with keyword research.
There are large databases on the web that collect the search habits of people using search engines. Before you start screaming about privacy, the only thing being tracked is general search queries, not who is making them. At least not by name, but that is another subject that Google will have to answer to. But I digress.
With keyword research, you can access these databases and see the exact phrases people are using when they search for information in your business area. Let's say I sell books on dog training. I can search for all searches done by people that include the phrase "dog training" in them. The databases will then kick out all the phrases.
Depending on the systems, the phrases may include information such as the number of times a day, week or month the phrase was used in a search. The systems might also tell you how many other websites are trying to get ranked under each keyword phrase. For all intensive purposes, we are talking about a gold mine of information! The first step in any SEO campaign is to do keyword research and then embed them in your site as you can read here.

Google is very strict with AdSense and adheres closely to the terms of service, because the sister program, AdWords, is its highest revenue source. If Google even suspects you're doing something against their rules, your account can be shutdown forever. If that's already happened to you, let me give you some alternatives for monetizing your Internet marketing website.
1) Get an account with another contextual advertiser.
AdSense isn't the only company producing contextual ads, though it's certainly the biggest. Yet, companies like Bidvertiser and OpenTracker offer the same type deal. You publish ads related to your site, and they give you money each time someone clicks on an ad.
2) Sign up with an image ads company
Image ads are just as easy to use as contextual ads. Chitika is probably the biggest company, but you can try other services, like Affiliate Power Ads or Auction Ads. They're supposed to follow the theme of your site, but you have to be careful. If you're in the Internet marketing niche, and writing about list building, be sure the service isn't putting building supplies on your website. But here's the catch with these: You only get paid when someone actually buys a product, not when someone clicks on an ad.
3) Use affiliate advertising materials
If you use a web service that you like, or maybe software you'd recommend, see if they have an affiliate program. Then, see if the company has any advertising materials available. It's easy to throw a button or a banner up on your site. It's always best when advertisers house the images on their sites. It saves you disk space and trouble. If they don't, you'll have to upload the image to your own and probably do your own HTML linking. If you're unfamiliar with that, just make sure the advertiser just gives you a snip of code and you're on your way.
4) PPA could be the answer
PPA or pay-per-action is another form of advertising that pays you when someone takes action on an offer. For example, you sign up with Hydra Network, and there is a list of campaigns that you can choose from. You grab a banner or button, and providing it's allowed (because some campaigns are email only), put it up on your website. When someone clicks on that ad and takes action, as in filling out a survey, applying for a credit card, or accepting a free offer, you are paid.
5) Write reviews
Why not write reviews of products you've used and would be happy to recommend to others? Word of mouth is very powerful advertising. Perhaps you like your web host or maybe you read a really great ebook and want to share it. Write a review and put it on your blog. Or, write an article that reviews the product or service, and in your resource box, give people your affiliate link. Check out the websites of products and services you're considering reviewing and see if they have affiliate programs, first.
These are just a few suggestions. There are many ways to monetize your website or blog in the Internet marketing space. You just have to test offers from different places to see what works best for you.

Gone are the days when you have to launch link building campaigns and literally beg established webmasters to link with you to increase your page ranking. Today, obtaining quality inbound links can be done by just writing and submitting your articles on leading publishing sites like EzineArticles.
Here are the 4 marvelous steps to supercharge your article marketing:
1. Make your articles interesting to read. It is very important that you give your readers great reading experience. This is one element that can lead to rapport and trust. Write your articles in a conversational tone, insert comic relief whenever appropriate, ask questions once in while, and connect your readers to your content.
2. Less is more. Ditch the idea that your article will be more valuable to the eyes of online users when it runs more than 1,000 words. Truth be told, online users get easily bored with lengthy articles especially if they don't offer page break or if they are not scannable. Strive to make your articles short but concise by offering your information upfront and by avoiding using too much fillers and fancy words on your content.
3. Talk about your products. I don't mean advertising your products blatantly on your content. By this, I mean write about topics that will build up your offering so they will become more valuable to your readers. For instance, if you are selling diet pills, you can talk about the disadvantages of being fat and offer your product as solution.
4. Offer only quality content. If you want your articles to be read and republished, you have to make sure that they are well-written and informative. People simply love reading articles that are easy to understand and offer sound solutions to their problems.

Article marketing is one of my favourite methods of traffic generation. The reason for this is that it generates the highest quality lead possible.
I have just noticed that I have written over 580 articles. These have created 58,000 page views, 4510 url clicks to my squeeze page and been published 2,500 times. These are really amazing statistics and I have just gotten going with my article marketing efforts.
In this article I would like to go through the lessons that I have learned from this. When I first started out I was not so sure what to expect from article marketing.
The one most valuable lesson that I have learned from all of this is that it takes time to develop skill. I remember when I started out I really was terrible at writing. As I continually did this I gradually improved. Over time you get better and better. However, when you first start out it will seem like a very big hurdle that you need to climb.
The biggest disappoint about this method of promoting your website is that after 100 articles you may not see that fantastic results yet. However, keep on going the results will be worth it over time. As you continue your results will get better and better. This is a long term strategy and if you are looking for quick results I do not suggest that you attempt this at all because you will totally get frustrated.
Now the most important part of marketing this way is that your leads are a lot more responsive and more likely to buy from you. One of the biggest problems with building a list is actually getting people to buy from you. It is not as easy as what people say. People only buy from other people that they like, know and trust.

Compare to other paid advertising tools like PPC advertising and banner ads, article marketing can offer you with long term benefits. When you submit your articles to publishing sites, they will be posted there permanently. That means, they can be accessed over and over again and can still bring you quality traffic for many years to come.
1. Kick-start your articles with striking titles. The first step that you need to take in order for your articles to get noticed is to give them titles that can easily grab online users' attention. They must be interesting and intriguing enough to compel people online to invest their time in reading you content.
2. Bank on your first paragraph. Learn how to hold the interest of your readers to make sure that they will not close your articles until they click on your resource box by making your first 100 words interesting and equally attention-grabbing. Spill the most important information on this part and present a "hook" that will lead your readers to read your articles in their entirety.
3. Offer valuable and useful information. To keep your readers satisfied and to increase the chances of your resource box being clicked, make sure that your articles can offer your readers with information that they can use to either resolve their pressing issues or increase their skill level so they will be empowered to do amazing things on their own.
4. Keep your articles short. When writing articles for the web, it is crucial to understand that you are a serving an audience with limited attention span and people who do not have the luxury of time to spend hours reading articles online. Thus, you must strive to keep your articles short so you can offer them the information they need without wasting their precious time. You can cut on the number of your words by not beating around the bush and by eliminating fillers and fancy words from your content.
5. Use a compelling resource box. To end your articles with high note, use an amazing resource box that can easily convince your readers to check on your website. It must contain an exciting elevator pitch and a powerful call to action along with other crucial information.

You know, there are some days when it really doesn't matter what you do, it just all comes out wrong. Today may be the closest I've come to one of those days in a long while. But all these crisis gave me an opportunity to vent my spleen about the basic issues of marketing, with an unusual twist.
1. Marketing Gurus rank high because they use keywords.
Have you ever met a marketing guru that didn't talk in keyword phrases and niche jargon? I'm not sure they exist. It's frustrating, but true. They seem to understand the words they use and the phrases that come out of their mouths, but the rest of us are sitting in the corner wondering when they'll shut up. Effective? Perhaps. Their points are made within the context of what they do, who they're talking to, and the niche they develop. Those of us sitting in the corner are not part of their market. The solution, find a different guru to listen to.
2. Links revitalize and article or kill it.
Following the rules doesn't even guarantee you'll be published. For some stupid reason there are always specific rules that when you follow them to the letter, someone disagrees with your perception. If you slip outside the narrow path of leadership, your steps are taken out of context and you probably won't have a clue why. Links are one of those issues. Links to one person may not constitute links to another. If you refer to a website, by name, that's a link. If you use the html code, that's a link, but if you refer to a website by the title of the page, that's NOT a link. Let me hit that link with one last slam of the hammer before I move on to the next paragraph!
3. Move on by that issue and find a new one.
The options are clear. You can stick with your Marketing Guru who isn't making any sense and hang onto your links, continuing to lag behind in the industry, or you can move on. Write another article, change the title, and move right into the next phase of your business existence online. Give yourself a break and step over the mud puddle. You can get where you want to go without walking through the muck of fixing the Guru, rewriting the link, or going back through the hassle. Just simply move on. If your priorities include that one event, and you can't get past it, do it. Then move forward immediately with a new project.

If you write online articles to market, then perhaps you need to consider the ramifications of your actions. You see, it is my contention that folks should use their real name. Especially considering that most articles are used as article marketing, and if you do not use your real name and send someone to a website that sells something, then that is fraudulent "shrill" type activity. By using a fake name and supposedly trying to promote a real product, this is complete hypocrisy.
Additionally, if someone uses a fake name, they are Hiding Something, every time. Someone here mentioned that they were protecting themselves from the Internet? Interesting, well then that is an admission that they are hiding. I ask who is protecting the reader from the trickery?
One of the problems on the Internet is that people use false identity and post bogus information, without taking responsibility. Using a fake name, they assume gives them security to spout off without recourse. I have a problem with fake "pen" names, and if you are promoting a product or service or even just AdSense Ad website doing this, it is borderline illegal.
Personally, I see it as a criminal act, I am not impressed with the excuses people use. The idea that everyone else does it, is not good enough, because many people do it, and use multiple identities and if you do it, you are in the same boat with liars, cheaters and terrorists. That is what I think. I am not impressed with liars, nor should you be. If you are using a fake name, then how are you justifying your integrity level to your mirror, please do tell. *the truth.

While meta tag optimization is not quite so important these days in terms of helping you achieve or help in your search engine rankings I still do believe that you should keep optimizing you pages on your web site in the same manner that we have learned in the past.
There certainly aren't any indicators in the way that Google views your websites which would penalize you for still utilizing and this optimization method. The meta description tag still carries quite a lot of merit and of course as always we have to keep doing in depth keyword research to give us the competing edge when it comes to attracting targeted website traffic and finding out which market you can compete in without masses of competition.
With that being said, we cannot forget about the importance these days of LSI and SILO structure websites. This is most important in my mind. But, I'm just going to give some quick tips in meta tag optimization and some quick tips for the purpose of this article.
1. Always use your main targeted keyword or keyword phrase for the title of your page.
This alone is one very important and crucial step when trying to place high in the
engines for a particular page and keyword phrase.
2. Use your main targeted keyword or phrase in the title of the text on your page.
this is different from the statement above, even though it may sound like I'm saying
the same thing. In this part we are not actually calling the page the targeted keyword
or phrase rather I am just talking about the title of your pages first article.
Place this title inside H1 tags on your page.
3. Use your secondary targeted keyword or phrase in the subtitle of your pages article or
text. Place this subtitle in H2 tags on your web page.
4. Inside the description meta tag of your webpage use a keyword rich sentence or two
containing your main targeted keyword or phrase in this description. Try to make
this a good interesting description because this will show up in search results and
you want to entice the reader to click through to your web page or website.
5. Even though the keyword tag doesn't have as much importance these days I suggest to
continue to use it. Of course within this tag include your main targeted and secondarily
target keywords and phrases will be placed.
6. Use your main keywords or keyword phrase in the opening paragraphs of your web
page, somewhere throughout the body of your webpage, and always try to have it
included somewhere in the closing of the article of you web page. This will help to
keep the theme of your web page in check.
This was just a quick short rundown of a few tips in meta tag optimization. There is much more involved with good SEO and tips in how to improve search engine ranking.

Article marketing is one of the most effective and inexpensive marketing tools in the internet today. If done correctly, this process can bring you enormous traffic and great online revenue.
Here are the 5 effective ways to excel at article marketing:
1. Know your target market. This is one crucial element in writing your articles as this can help you design your contents to make them more targeted to the needs and wants of your readers. Know their problems, the things that they are passionately interested about, or solutions they are looking for to improve the quality of their lives.
2. Bank on your content. If you want your articles to be read and widely distributed, you must make sure that they are all well-written, content-rich, factual, scannable, interesting to read, written in a conversational tone, and free from grammar and spelling errors. It would also greatly help if they have great, attention-grabbing titles that are guaranteed to help you increase your clickthrough rate.
3. Register on leading publishing sites. There are more than one thousand article submissions sites and article directories in the internet today but not all of them are created equal. While some can give your articles the exposure they need, some are not even indexed by Google. Maximize your time by submitting your articles only to those sites that have huge traffic and great page ranking.
4. Optimize. To ensure that you will be able to connect to your potential clients, incorporate the search terms they are usually using on your content to make it easier for them to find your articles online.
5. Write more. Article marketing is the easiest way to create inbound links for your website. If you want to obtain more links, you can simply multiply the number of your articles.

1. Your articles must be convincing. By this, I mean that your content must be credible and fact-based. One of your main objectives in writing and publishing your articles is to establish your expertise and online credibility so people will trust you and follow your recommendations. That can only happen if your articles are factual and backed up by reputable resources.
2. Write for your readers. The first step that you need to take in order to convince your readers to consider doing business with you is to provide them with the kind of information they need. If you can consistently offer them with content that is valuable, timely, and relevant to their needs and demands, you will stand great chances of converting your readers to potential clients.
3. Great titles make huge difference. Your headlines are considered as the advertising tool of your articles. They must be attention-grabbing, striking, intriguing, and interesting so you can move online users to read your articles.

Online Advertisement
The amount of time people spend on the internet to gather information has increased enormously which has resulted to generate a new market for online advertising.
Targeted Ads
When a company is looking for opportunities to advertise in a specific market, the online advertising offers some targeting methods which insure that the visitors who see the ads are the ones most likely to be your customers. Online Programs like Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN Ad center, match up advertisers regularly with targeted contents in comparison with the most expensive strategy of advertising in newspapers.
Tracking Conversions
Online Advertising can track the performance of the ads such as number of impressions an ad receives, the number of visits their business web site gets from particular ads, enabling the advertiser to see the kind of conversion that happens from online advertisement.
Advertising Cost
The advertisers can fix their adverting cost and in case of limited budgets, the online advertising can reach much more audience than the other methods of advertising. Bidding for advertisements is possible in the online programs such as Google, Yahoo which means that the minimum and maximum cost can be fixed and the advertisement cost is based on the number of clicks.
Cheaper Ads
Since the nature of online advertising is more targeted, the effectiveness of the ads can be determined, conversion rates can be monitored which results in cheaper ads.
Wider Target
The internet spreads over the globe, the target market of your website around the world can all be targeted at once, which offers a wider geographical area. This should ensure that there are more people searching globally for you products/services.

You may already have a product that, by virtue of one of its attributes, would make a great niche product. You look into what is important to this market and create your product/service message and content around that marketing strategy. You don't have to abandon your present business to do this. You can simply set up another site that caters to a more specific audience at the same time and watch the two.
It is easier to see buying patterns, key words and draw from the many customer questions you have gotten to see which attributes are important. You can already tell which customers value your product or service the most. And THAT'S the niche you want. You want the niche that PAYS and VALUES your product.
The key to a niche is good positioning and highly targeted marketing.
Don't create a niche and then do really general advertising and create a generic, boiler-plate website.
Examples: If you already sell instruments, perhaps you target schools band teachers and parents of marching band students. If you are a book seller, perhaps you add a special department on fantasy and science fiction books. If you sell flooring, you might consider a specialty in high end, hardwood flooring that is durable for commercial establishments like law offices, advertising agencies and art galleries that need to project a high end image.
You don't always have to search for a niche. You might be sitting on one as we speak. So go for it!

The power of the pen is the way to propel one's home based business venture to top ratings on the search engines.
The truth of the matter is...blatant advertising is on the out in regards to effective internet marketing strategies. Simple question..."what would distinguish your particular ad from everyone else's...probably times billions?"
Answer..."nothing!"
When one approaches this question with an honest answer...then the light bulb will begin to burn just a bit brighter.
The internet is made from tens of trillions of bits of information, all compiled and effectively indexed by search engine spider robots. These remarkable inventions have the ability to distinguish between good information...and conversely...not so good information. If one is wanting to obtain some notoriety on the net for a particular website, the logical conclusion would be...the person that submits the best information...wins the prize.
Appealing to the spiders robot of Google is not mysterious at all. Many so called gurus of the internet tell one to do this...not do that...etc...etc...but in all actuality, one of the best ways to gain top ratings on the search engines is to write good information.
Blatant, one line ads, email marketing, pay per clicks...and the list goes on...is just really not that effective for most internet marketers today.
Most home based business owners simply do not have the resources to run an effective pay per click advertising program.
When one begins to understand that the internet is nothing more than ad content, keywords, and links, the vision becomes clear as how to approach the never ending struggle of gaining top positions on the search engines.
Those that consistently write the best information on any given subject...and almost everyone is good at something...will be rewarded by Google for their efforts. Now this process sounds simple and easy, but many would-be marketers have fallen short of their goal by not knowing how to present that information on the internet.
No real mystery here...one simply needs an effective internet marketing system...desire...motivation...and training to accomplish their goals.
Tools are an absolute necessity when tackling the tough job of effectively promoting a home based business website on the internet.
Desire is of utmost importance. Without the proper motivation and desire...termed visualization marketing...the dream is destined to fall short of the mark.
Training is essential to the home based business owner. One does not need to spend endless money for personal coaching and lecture sessions. Often times just a step in the right direction is all that is needed.
Owning a home based business is exciting and personally rewarding to the individual who becomes successful in his or her endeavor. Success is no accident...it is a choice!

Internet article marketing continues to be one of the most effective ways to get traffic to your website. Not just traffic, but traffic that has prequalified itself by exercising their freedom of choice to read an article written by you on a topic related to your products and services.
One of the biggest problems with Internet Article marketing is that most people don't compound their efforts so they end up getting considerably less return as they go about trying to produce articles. This can be easily remedied if you follow these simple steps. The first step may sound familiar; it is the last couple of steps that will really compound your results. What you will find, is that often it is the little things that make a big difference.
Step one - Research your topic and find 4 or 5 key points, make sure that this information relates specifically to the keywords you have chosen based on your products or services.
Step two - Write at least 5 articles on the information you have just researched. You can do this by approaching the topic from several different perspectives as well as simply writing in different formats. For example, you can tell a story, you can write a case study, you can make a list, you can talk about it from the perspective of the general audience, and you can talk about it from the perspective of a specific audience.
Step three - Repeat the above process two to five more times. By doing this, you continue to take advantage of your previous efforts, and you have only had to focus your mind one time. One of the main points of doing this is that you really become an expert on the topic. Not only are you an expert, but you now have plenty of original written material to create an information product. What can you do with this eBook? Have you heard of information products, or viral marketing?
If you start to use this process, you will quickly start to produce many times the numbers of articles, and get many times the return on your investment of time and effort. Isn't that what it is all about, getting more for less?

This article aims to provide you with 6 creative methods that have helped me maximized the benefits I was getting from my article marketing campaign. These are:
1. Use compelling titles. Too often, article writers are focusing their efforts in making each article unique, useful, and interesting that they forget that if their title is lousy, all their efforts will go down the drain. Never underestimate the power of compelling titles in making your article marketing a success. Make it a point that your titles are intriguing, keyword-rich, well-written, and communicate the benefits it can offer your readers.
2. Know how and where to use keywords on your articles. Optimizing your articles means knowing how to use relevant keywords, where to put them, and how much keywords you will use on each of your articles.
3. Pay attention to the quality of your articles. Your articles must we well-written and timely. They must appear like they were written by a professional writer so your readers will consider you as an expert on your field.
4. Make use of a killer resource box. Consider your resource box as your teaser in enticing your readers to visit your site. Make sure that your resource box is compelling and well-written.
5. Cross reference your articles. If you want to maximize the exposure of your articles in the World Wide Web, learn how to cross reference them by using anchor texts. Just make sure that your articles are relevant to each other and online users can use them for further reading.
6. Write consistently. Article marketing, just like any other traffic-generating tool may take sometime before it can increase the traffic on your site. Be patient and write as many articles as you can and you'll surely see the difference in a month or two.

Email the author of the article and let them know you used their content including a link directly to their article.
2. Newsletters
Use articles to send out in newsletters.
Again I sometimes come up short with ideas for newsletters or would rather delegate the writing to someone else.
Keep your readers engaged by sending out regular newsletters with quality information and articles.
3. Start Your Own Article Directory
There are several ways that you can start your own article directory and one kickback is to make money from advertisements.
If you like your site more personalized you can hire a web designer to create one for you if you don't know how to already.
Search for free software or customizable templates that are actual article directory that you can create.
You can do what I do because I'm big on blogging so I made a mini directory as a part of one of my marketing blogs: Urban Writ
4. Ad Copy
An attention getting article can be used in web or print advertising. Post the article as a teaser and let readers know that they can find 'more information like this' at your website.
5. E-Zines
Search for articles that contain valuable content that your readers can appreciate. Instead of contacting the author to offer a guest spot use a series of their articles over a period of time.
Hidden Perks
Other benefits of using pre-written articles is the use of key phrases. A well written article may rank high for search engines and bring your web site to front page.
Sending the authors some traffic for work they have already done may get you some return traffic from their site.
Readers have the opportunity to deviate from your site by clicking the links in the resource box of the article. Keep in mind the time saved writing can be used to build your business instead.

Q: In my article marketing approach and working towards creating back-links to my site(s), does it matter in my resource box whether I type out the URL versus writing which would say "come visit" my site (with the come visit being the link?)
A:This is a good question, and in fact, it matters a lot.
Anchor text or absolute URLs?
Anchor text is when a word or a few words are clickable links. For example, you often see "click here" as a clickable link. In your example, "come visit" would be an underlined clickable link. The advantage to anchor text is that it looks good to the human eye and when you include key words in the anchor text, it looks good to the search engines.
The problem is we have found is that many of the people that use articles on web sites, blogs and newsletters are not savvy enough to use the html the right way so your anchor text winds up as a dead link. An absolute url is a url that begins with http: and ends with .com or the file name. In this way, the link becomes clickable whenever it is used.
If I am using all three available links in the resource box, two out of three of my links will be absolute urls and just one will be an anchor text link. If I am using just two links I would probably use two absolute urls just to be sure. You could have one of each though. And of course if I am just using one link that link will be an absolute url.
In this way you can be certain your link(s) will work for you in your article resource box. You can check out the example below to see what I mean.

People often come to me in a state of crisis and say their website isn't working. Usually they're in a cold sweat:
"Michael, give me some practical things I can do to get more sales from my website!"
You want practical advice? Stop treating your website like an object in your business and start treating it like an employee. Most businesses treat their website like a physical item in their business - such as a filing cabinet for example. Just take Mr. Smith from ABC Ltd.:
"Everyone else has got a filing cabinet so I thought we'd better get one. I'm not very interested in cabinets myself but people seem to think they get you more customers. It looks quite neat though - I made sure my face is on the front of it."
Very good. How much business do you get from it?
"Business? Oh I don't know - I haven't even looked at it for a year or so. It's been a waste of money. We paid a company to build it and it doesn't work."
Right, I see. Have you updated it regularly and promoted it extensively?
"What? No - it went live and that was it, nothing's happened. I thought the phone would be ringing off the hook. Come and have a look at it anyway, it's over here in the corner - gathering dust."
So here they are:
5 Ways To Treat Your Website Like An Employee And Make More Money As A Result
Treat your website like one of your employees and it will start to behave like one.
1. Look after your employees - give them the attention they deserve, pay them well and don't neglect their needs
2. Make sure your employees look the part - first impressions count: scuffed shoes and scruffy clothes won't bring in the business
3. Give them mobility - buy them a company car so they can get out into the world and sell for you, they won't sell much stuck in one place and not being found
4. Keep them informed - give them the latest information on the focus of your company, new services, new sales scripts, latest changes to the way you do business etc.
5. Introduce them to everyone - don't let your employee feel like they're on the sidelines of your business, separate to everyone else - they need to be a fully integrated part of your business, not an after-thought bolted on at the last minute.

Article marketing continues to make wonders in terms of generating traffic for various websites. Most webmasters agree that it is one of the best tools in pulling up search engine ranking and making their site more popular and frequently visited. If you'd like to use article marketing so you can create more money from it, here are the best ways to do it:
1. Write more quality, meaningful articles. The first step to article marketing is writing numerous articles that will show your expertise on your chosen field. Remember, each article will represent your or your company, so they better offer valuable and credible information that will make readers trust you.
2. Prepare a killer resource box. Your resource box must be compelling enough to make your readers click your website's URL. It must contain your name, your website address, and your call for action.
3. Make your articles scannable and easy on the eyes. Don't submit lengthy articles that will surely bore your readers. Instead, submit articles that run 250-500 words that are full with information and juicy details that your readers are looking for. Make your articles scannable by using bullets or numbers when you are presenting steps or tips. You can also use sub topics.
4. Submit your articles to major article submission sites. To date, there are more than 200 hundred article submission sites but only half of them generate good traffic. Don't waste your time submitting your articles to those that cannot help you increase your site's popularity, instead focus your energy to the ones that can promise you huge number of visitors like ezinearticles.com.
5. Make your landing page compelling. Once you have successfully drove online users to your website, make sure that it functions well and offers readers what they are looking for. It may be more information or the products and services that you are offering.
6. Use the traffic to your advantage. Once you have done all of the 5 tips, you'll be sure to get more traffic to your site. Use this to increase your sales and profits. Offer your visitors with the products and services.
7. Make money from the traffic you have created. To convert your traffic to instant cash, you can sell space on your webpage to various advertisers. If they see that you're generating enormous traffic, they won't think twice in posting banner ads to your webpage.

Promoting your products and website cannot be easier these days. With the advent of article marketing, you need not to learn technical skills nor have huge marketing budget just to create brand awareness or increase your website's traffic. You just have to write and market your articles that are relevant to your target niche and useful to your potential clients.
1. Empathize. People would feel a lot better if they know that somebody understand where they are coming from. Learn how to empathize and put yourself in the shoes of your readers. This can promote customer trust and loyalty that can end up to trusting business relationship.
2. Content. Your articles must be able to offer valuable, useful information to your readers. In addition, they must also be well-written, fact-based, scannable, and free from grammar and spelling errors to give your potential clients great reading experience.
3. Be familiar with the rules set by publishing sites. This can help you create articles that conform to the standards set by publishers so you can be assured that you won't have problems in posting your articles online.
4. Make your resource box powerful, enticing, and compelling. You would want your readers to click on your resource box; otherwise, your article marketing efforts will just go down the drain. Strive to create a resource box that can effectively move your readers to visit your website.
5. Be consistent. Don't stop writing and submitting articles even if you have attracted enough traffic to you website. This can strengthen your online presence and pull up your search engine ranking.
6. Distribute your articles on other avenues. Aside from article submission sites, you can also post your articles to your blog, website, or use them on your email marketing campaign.

OK. Let me ask you a really SIMPLE question. Why do you write articles? Is it to:
Well, maybe. But for the vast majority of article writers the ONLY reason is to drive traffic to your website. Correct? Correct!
So, I would assume that you would be interested in a little thing that I have discovered that has shot my click through rate from a paltry average 0.82% to a very healthy current average of 15.62% - and in some instances even way beyond that. Yeah? I thought so.
Oh, damn it! Let me brag for a moment, some of my articles are averaging 28% to 35%. Do you have that? Want to know the secret to it? Yeah, I thought so.
Before I even start let me say one thing that should be as obvious to you as the nose on your face - write about something that people are INTERESTED in. Why would you write about the catalytic converter on the Gumball Space Machine? Huh? NOBODY except some geek will be even remotely interested in that. If you got even 10 views I would be AMAZED. And if you got even a single click-through I would be DOUBLE AMAZED. In fact, I'd be shocked!
Obviously the most popular subjects are those that are sexually oriented (surprise, surprise). But not everybody is interested in writing about having a giant horse penis or shaving all their pubic hair off or having a blazing affair with a 48DD hooker or Johnny Donger. Excuse my attempt at humor. I'm sure you know what I mean.
Pick a subject that has good interest and that you have some expertise in. Also, write about something that your website promotes. Now, having said that, I don't have a website about "Article Marketing" but I do have a website about making money and, after all, we write articles to get clicks to our websites to sell products and I do have an excellent e-book on... Anyway, on with the show...
It's all there for you in the statistics. Pretty much it will be staring you right in the face if you care to take a look.
You should try to get at least 30 articles up before you can start analyzing your statistics. The more articles the better. When you have over 100 articles the results will become more glaring. Personally, I have over 250 articles and they have been syndicated all over the web in all sorts of languages. So, I have a good spread to look at. Here is what I did...
First, go to any article site that collects statistics. A good one is (ahem) Ezine Articles.
Look at your top performing articles and compare them to your worst performing articles. You'll find them easy enough. Look at the subject of the articles, the headline, the teaser summary, the keywords, the number of views, the click through rate and the resource box. What is the difference between your best articles and your worst? I'll tell you one of my stats.
My worst article - 1304 views for ZERO clicks - yep - a big FAT nought.
One of the best - 2667 views for 400 clicks - wow! - a 15% click-through rate!
Now what does that tell you? I'll tell you what it tells me...
The headlines and keywords were both pretty good. The teaser (or summary) was also pretty good. I know all that because, in both instances, I got pretty good viewing rates and I continue to get more views. So what else? One article enticed 400 people to want to know more while the other enticed nobody. The loser article was just a tell all, feel good piece of writing. Also, the resource boxes were drastically different between the two.
So, you see, by examining these statistics you can learn a lot about what will encourage people to click through to your site for more information. If you ignore it you will stay in the click-through doldrums.
Examine your statistics. Look at headlines, the teaser summary, the keywords, the article body (copy) and the construction of your resource box for the greatest number of click throughs. Replicate what works and chuck out anything that just hangs around like a stale bottle of beer. You will be amazed, like I am, at what you can refine when you know EXACTLY what is working for you and what isn't. My click-throughs have risen dramatically from 0.82% to 15.62% and some are much higher.
You can do this too. It just takes a bit of analysis to see what causes the statistics that you receive.
Like I said, I don't have an Article Marketing website. But I do have a wealth creation website so if you like what I have presented in this article and want to know how to make a lot more money and increase your personal wealth then click HERE
I was speaking with the CEO of an executive career and job site recently. We were making another installment in our ongoing discussion about developing and marketing an on-line Internet presence by leveraging on-line networking platforms.
The CEO made a statement that reminded me of the national, multicultural, social marketing campaign coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
VERB It's what you do.
To network does - not - mean to simply join a networking platform, create a profile, and passively expect magic to happen. It requires action. It requires reaching out. That's right - it requires effort.
I've talked to many people over the years that complain about not getting anything out of their membership to a given networking platform. When I ask, "What exactly did you - do - after joining the networking platform?" The response (all too often) is, "Do?"
There are millions of - inactive - members of networking platforms. Unfortunately, that translates into million of people that are not realizing the benefit of on-line networking.
Network: It's what you - do - that counts.
There are obviously multitudes of ways one can take action and reach out. You can reach out directly to specific individuals through personal messages/emails or indirectly by posting blogs on topics of common interest, subject matter expertise, etc., or starting a club/forum around a common interest, subject matter expertise, etc. They all require action.
I belong to and I'm a heavy user of on-line networking platforms. All on-line networking platforms are not created equal. From my experience, without a doubt, out of all of the on-line networking platforms I've experimented with, I've found - the best - place to network and start investing in building an on-line Internet presence. It is amazing how fast you can do this.
As an example, do a Google search on the key words: do you exist
The first thing I want you to notice is that the result is a search return of approximately 412,000,000 hits. Now note that my blog post "Do you exist? - by Ron Bates" typically comes up as the 1st - 3rd hit on the first page out of 412 - million - hits. This capability is invaluable to someone desiring to build and market a personal or corporate Internet presence.
I believe so strongly in the power of building an Internet Presence by leveraging on-line networkin that I built a website just to discuss specifically how to do this.
Happy Networking!

Article marketing is a very popular method of advertising your online business. The idea is you write a bunch of informative articles on some aspect of your business and the distribute these articles on the internet.
A lot of internet marketers and affiliate marketers have dabbled in article marketing at some stage in there careers. A large proportion of these people have given up because they have not seen the results that they expected from article marketing.
So why are all these people failing? And why is there still a lot of enthusiasm for article marketing.
The simple answers is Article marketing works but only if done right.
And what is the right way to approach article marketing.
Article content The articles you write should be original and should contain interesting, useful information that will engage and intrigue your readers. Get into the mind of your prospective readers and hopefully future customers and try and see things from their perspective. Give them information that you know they want, rather than information you feel like giving them.
Make your article so full of great information that it becomes a reference for whatever it is you are writing about.
Rehashed content will only put people off. If your article is saying the same thing that hundreds of other articles have said, you appear stale and your readers may get the impression that your business is a 'me too' business.
No original ideas
Aim to keep your articles fresh and informative.
Article frequency:
Article marketing is only as effective as the reach of your articles.
If you post an article once a week and your article is taken up by 10 websites, at the end of a month you have 40 representations on the internet.
If however you post an article a day on the internet and the take up rate by other webmasters is still 10 per article, you suddenly have a web exposure of 300. The reach of 300 websites displaying an article of yours is by far greater than the reach of 40 websites. If you are considering article marketing, you need to be prepared to post at least one content rich, original article every single day.
Article Format:
Articles written for article marketing purposes must apply search engine optimization methods. This is important so that your articles rank high with the search engines.
Also you need to pay attention to the different parts of your articles. The headline must be a good attention grabbing headline, your body must be well thought out and your bio box must be carefully worded to increase your click through rate
More details will be provided in the next part of this series.

Did you know that one article can bring you as much as 100 highly targeted visitors? It takes you less than thirty minutes to write a well written and informative article. If you deliver the good, the reader is going to click on your resource box and see what you have to offer.
Some of my most best articles have more than one hundreds click and hundreds of views. But these statistics don't include all the publishers who downloaded my articles.
And what if an ezine publisher with thousands of subscribers like your article and send it to his list with your well crafted resource box?
I am sure this could bring your sales your way.
But if you wrote an article that doesn't make sense, nobody is going to send it to his list. And what do you think about readers who stumble about your article?
This poor surfer was searching for information. He was searching for a real expert he can rely on, and instead, he found a couple of "bizarre" sentences that didn't give him a single benefit.
Do you think he is going to click on your link in the resource box? He won't! Because he knows that this article wasn't written by an expert. Why should he bother?
The reader needs help, he want to solve a problem or relive a pain. If you give him even more troubles and make him lose his valuable time, he is never going to make business with you after that... unless he is forced to do so because there is no competitors.
But this is not the case today, so take your time and write a good article.

So you want to construct a very profitable internet marketing promotion?
Many do, but few have the understanding, and patience to maximize profit potential using effective internet marketing strategies.
When I use the term online internet marketing I am referring to promoting a product or service, whether it is yours or others, and getting as many qualified visitors to visit your website as humanly possible.
When many business owners start e business marketing as an additional avenue of marketing they feel all they need to do is put up a website, and qualified buyers will flock to the webpage, and money will fall from the sky. Not necessarily so.
In an internet marketing promotion this is the farthest thing from the truth. First off, you have to get your site ranking high in the search engines for specific keywords.
Unless your internet business wants to buy traffic via pay per click, or offer an affiliate internet marketing program, the website traffic will be minimal unless you rank for high searched upon keyword terms.
Minimal web traffic equals minimal sales. You have to put forth a continuous effort driving traffic to your site, day after day.
Here are 3 internet marketing promotion tips that will assist you in getting the most out of your online marketing promotion.
1. Continuous, internet promotion using as many online marketing strategies as possible.
It takes continuous work as an online marketer to drive traffic to your site. You must hit as many traffic avenues as possible.
Some web traffic creation strategies include article marketing, submitting press releases, launching an affiliate program, SEO your site, and invest in pay per click advertising.
A winning internet marketing tip is to have a diversified internet business strategy for driving qualified visitors to your website.
Promote! Promote! Promote! You have a choice. You can do the work yourself, or delegate your internet marketing promotion tasks to others. The most successful online marketers leverage their time by having others do traffic generation tasks for them. Do what is best for your specific internet business.
2. Always be building relationships.
When I mean relationships I mean with possible joint venture partners, or affiliates, as well as visitors to your website.
To have a really effective internet marketing web site promotion you will want to build a list of people highly interested in your product. Without a list you may never get another chance to market to a web visitor again. Once they are gone, they generally are gone! Therefore, I highly recommend giving visitors something valuable in exchange for signing up for additional information. You can then begin building a relationship with your prospects, and begin turning them into paying customers in the very near future.
Another top internet marketing tip is to focus on building a relationship with your list. People will buy from those who know you, like you, and trust you.
It is important for your internet marketing promotions to build relationships with other marketers who have lists of people. That way you can form joint ventures with people to promote your internet marketing product, or service.
3. Always be testing.
It is always important for your internet marketing promotion to always be testing. Know your conversion rates, and continually strive to beat the control. Your sales copy needs to improve each month. Never be satisfied. If you are, you are throwing money away.
Have a mindset that your copy is the worst it will ever be, today. Keep testing, and tracking to increase sales conversion rates.
For your website promotion internet marketing business get familiar with the overall conversion rate, value per visitor, and lifetime value of your customer.
Having a firm grasp on these numbers. Attempting to improve them will quickly put your internet promotion in overdrive.
Continuing education should always be a key to your internet marketing promotion strategy. Attempt to keep up with the latest online marketing tips, tricks, and techniques, and inject the ideas into your overall plan.
