Article And Content Writing Made Simple

Article and Content Writing is the key to successful Internet Marketing. It takes some practice and it takes knowing a few simple rules. You want to locate the happy medium between pleasing the Search engines and pleasing your readers. This is as easy as talking to a good friend.

You want to start your writing by choosing your keyword or keyword phrase. You may choose 2 or 3 keywords or phrases for your article or web page content.

I like to use Keyword Phrases in all my Article and Content Writing. Word your keyword phase the way people would type it into the search engine when possible. Do not load your page with keywords or keyword phrases.

Only place your keyword phrases in 3 or 4 places within the text. If writing content for your website place the keywords in the URL. Also use the keyword phrase in the title of the page or article. Place your keyword phrase within the first 90 characters of your writing. Place your keyword phrase once or twice in the main body of the article and then again at the very end of the article.

Do not make your content too short. It actually is possible to make copy too short for search engines. Make your page no less than 250 words. I prefer 400 to 600 words.

Do not try to sound overly intelligent. It is not rocket science to write website content, so do not make it sound like rocket science.

You actually want to write around a 6th grade level for most topics. Choose the grade level based on the topic. Obviously you need to write at a different level if your site is about Medical Procedures than you would if you were writing about Candle Making.

Please! Use your spell checker and re-read your article 3 or 4 times. Look for words that are spelled correctly but are not spelled correctly for what you are saying, these are easy to miss. Example "The for of us went shopping" The spell checker will not catch this and since you know what you meant you might over look it.

How do you know if you have written good search engine friendly content. It will make sense when you read it. If you write just to put a keyword phrase in the content the sentence will not make sense when it is read or it will be hard to read.

Search engine optimized writing is not difficult and getting search engine rankings does not need to destroy your article. Place well chosen keyword phrases into the article and you will be well on your way to successful Article and Content writing

So you started doing SEO, to get some keywords ranked at the top of the search engines and get lots of traffic.

First of all Google provides the best customers for your business. Simple because most people use Google since Google provides most accurate results. So focus on getting high rankings in Google. I simple never check where I rank in other search engines.

You need to know how to automate your business, so you don't keep doing all the search engine optimization strategies manually. Once your website is receiving traffic you start making money. That is your ultimate goal.

You can then outsource the tasks you do such as link building, article creation, article submission, forum posting and anything else.

Why you outsource?

If you want to expand your business further, you need to focus on product creation, other marketing methods, copywriting and other things. SEO is just one part of your business. On the other hand if you like to work everyday, and enjoy a four figure income you may want to keep doing what you are doing.

But most people want to increase their income to make five and six figures online. To do that you need to outsource and use software instead of doing everything manually. Once you start making money, you have more cash to invest in these things.

Link builders or any other employer can be found on one of the freelancing websites.

Depends on your needs, you can hire people full time or part time. You save tremendous amounts of time doing this. That is why your business grows, because you work on other things with your available time.

You cannot outsource if you are totally new to seo. You cannot hire a link builder if you do not know what the job of a link builder is. You need to know properly what seo is all about, so you hire the right people and give them to right tasks. Many people put up a website and then hire a so called seo expert. They pay a ton of money and they get scammed, because there are many so called experts who are not experts at all.

So, learnings and experience is required before you can give the job to someone else. There are legitimate seo companies too, but only if you know SEO well, you understand if a company is a scam or genuine company. The price is expensive as well. So it is not an option for a beginner. But once you have money to invest and experience you can find that genuine company and test them out, see if they can bring results and if so you can keep on hiring them.

So seo is what you may need to get a ton of targeted traffic, however do not ignore all the other opportunities to grow your business once you start making some money. There is no need to keep doing seo until you retire.

Do you want to make automatic link exchanges or find and get them manually? If you want to automate all link building tasks get OutRankSmart today.

Is Article Marketing Overrated?

OK. Here is what I mean. If you're not new to website promotion, you must have heard that one of the best ways to drive targeted, ready to buy traffic to one's website is by marketing with articles. It's free and the traffic is of high quality we are told.

In reality, a lot of new Internet marketers have used the technique without much success. They have written a few articles and submitted to loads of article directories and all they get in return is a trickle of traffic so they quit in frustration.

Article marketing still works. There is no question about that. The problem a lot of people have is their strategy. They get it wrong before they even begin. They make a lot of mistakes.

Let's discuss some of the mistakes most people make.

Mistake One: Lack of Patience

Many people hope to get a surge of traffic hours after they submit their articles. That won't happen. Article marketing is not a quick fire method of generating website traffic. It's usually a slow process that lasts years.

People can still visit your website through articles you've written years ago. That is the beauty of it. You get traffic forever.

Mistake Two: Writing for The Search Engines

When people learn about article marketing, the learn that one should write for the search engines. They learn one should write articles in such a way that the search engines will index quickly.

I do not believe in this. I strongly advise you write with your readers in mind. Teach them what you know in your article as simply as possible. This way, you will stand a better chance of generating long lasting traffic through your articles. Write for humans, not for the search engines.

Mistake Three: Not Writing Enough Articles

I've seen people write a couple of articles and sit back to watch the traffic gush in. If you think you will get traffic with the two articles you've got, then perish the thought. Article marketing is a continuous exercise.

You need to consistently churn out good contents so your readers will get "addicted" to you. When this happens, you can rest assured they will buy from you over and over again.

Article marketing remains as powerful as ever. It will remain powerful as long as contents still drive the Internet so use it.

See you at the bank.

Many folks do not realize it but the World Wide Web is a natural when it comes to viral marketing. Don't forget that the web itself grew out of viral marketing. But first things first. There are a few golden rules that you will have to observe to ensure that your viral marketing is viable and will help make you money working online.

Before You Start Working, Choose Your Make Money Online Business Carefully

You will need to select your home business opportunity idea with a lot of care. No amount of viral marketing expertise will work with a product or service that nobody wants. If you are joining an existing opportunity then ensure that you do a lot of research before signing up to ascertain that it is a viable business and that there is a demand for the products.

Viral Marketing Is Not Instant

Another very important point to bear in mind is the fact that viral marketing is NOT instant. You will need to be patient while sticking to your well thought out plan. The big mistake many home based entrepreneurs make is to give up too quickly and too early. You will require lots of patience to make money working online using viral marketing techniques.

In Conclusion

Viral marketing techniques are ideal in building any home business opportunity. All one needs to do is to stick to the basics and to be prepared to learn as they go along. Actually there is no marketing weapon that is more effective for anybody determined enough to make money working online.

Article marketing is used to dominate a keyword. But aspiring article marketers don't tend to know how to do it. Are you ready to learn? Here it is.

You have to write countless amounts of articles. That's right. Writing is your key to success as an article marketer. You have to write hundreds of articles about your topic and just flood out the market with your information. When you do this, you will absolutely dominate the keyword your using. You can easily dominate any keyword if you write enough articles. Just keep writing.

The more that you write, the more Google thinks of you as a reliable resource, so Google will increase your page rankings. This is the greatest marketing tactic you will ever receive! Google loves articles! So don't be surprised if your article just dominates your competition and gets you landed on the first page of Google. This is completely normal! Many have beaten out their competition with articles and it's easy to do.

You just have to do what I told you, write and write and write. You can easily make more than 30 articles a week. Just put about 1 hour a day into your article marketing and by the end of the month you'll have more than 100 articles working for you. Every article you have is an opportunity to make a sale. You just have to work hard enough, and soon, the profits will come your way.

You don't have to write Shakespeare. In fact, you shouldn't. Writing Shakespeare will just take way to long and too hard. You have to flood the market as fast and as much as you can. This is the key to article marketing.

In the past few years WordPress has become the standard blog publishing platform because of its ease of use, rich feature set, available plugins, and standards compliance. Of course, the fact that its free and open source hasnt hurt either.

While developers have flocked to using WordPress as their blogging platform of choice, its often overlooked as a content management platform for non-blog sites. WordPress allows you to create pages that are automatically are added to the sites navigation bar and can be customized by a PHP programmer to handle just about any task youd want to accomplish with a site. Free themes and plugins can help reduce programming and design costs immensely, and with a little work WordPress can be customized to automate many of the most arduous SEO tasks. The result is a powerful and easy to use search engine friendly publishing platform that eliminates the majority of both upfront and ongoing SEO work.

Since WordPress is already very standards compliant, you and your programmer dont need to worry about proper HTML formatting thats all taken care of for you. There are, however, a few simple steps that should be taken to turn your WordPress site into the ultimate search-optimized site.

You can download all of the themes and plugins mentioned below from the WordPress site or by doing a quick Google search.

Create Unique Title Tags

Search Engine Optimization firm SEOmoz recently polled 37 of the best SEOs about what factors influence Googles algorithm. The NUMBER ONE factor influencing a high ranking was Keyword Use in Title Tag. For that reason alone you want your Title Tag to include the most relevant keywords related to your post. Unfortunately WordPress defaults to having your site title as the first thing in your Title Tag. Ideally youd have a customizable page title show up first.

For example, if your company named Cool Designs is located in New York and has a Web Design page, the Title Tag New York City Web Design Cool Designs is more likely to rank high for NYC-related web design queries than a page that has Cool Designs Web Design as the Title Tag. Fortunately WordPress has a SEO Title Tag plugin that allows you to customize each Title Tag.

Turn on Permalinks

The default WordPress post or page has a permanent link that looks like http://www.yoursite.com/?p=123. This is whats called a dynamic URL - a URL that uses variables in the URL to determine the page content. In this case the p variable determines what is shown when the page is loaded. And while dynamic URLs are efficient for programming, they arent exactly search engine or user friendly.

Years ago search engines had trouble indexing dynamic URLs. Thats not necessarily the case anymore (although you might as well remove all doubt), but static URLs like http://www.yoursite.com/keyword-filled-post-title/ still offer several advantages. The primary advantage is the cleanliness of the URL, which really has nothing at all to do with search rankings. A URL with real words in it (as opposed to numbers and question marks) is much more enticing for people to click on when search results are returned, and consequently is much easier for them to remember when re-visiting your site. Having relevant keywords from your post in your URL can also have a slight impact in boosting your rankings for those key words.

This change can be done with URL rewriting. Normally doing this requires quite a bit of programming effort. Not with WordPress. Just go to Options -> Permalinks and change your default structure to the date and name based structure.

Create Sitemaps

Both HTML sitemaps (a page that lists links to every other page on your site) and XML sitemaps (a file that lists all of the pages on your site for search engine spiders) can aid immensely in getting every page on your site indexed by all of the search engines. Automating each type of sitemap usually requires a few hours of programming for most sites. Of course, WordPress has a HTML sitemap plugin and a XML sitemap plugin that does all of the work for you. After creating the XML sitemap, be sure to submit it to Google and Yahoo to access extensive crawling information about your site.

Install Analytics

All of the traffic in the world isnt worth very much if you arent converting any of it to sales, leads, newsletter signups, or whatever the goal of your site may be. Google Analytics has become the premiere analytics software because of its simple and customizable interface, breadth of features, and price (free). In addition to the normal important analytics metrics visitors, unique visitors, page views, new/returning visitors, traffic sources, most viewed content, etc Google Analytics has goal tracking and e-commerce revenue tracking so you can see exactly where each conversion is coming from. After signing up for an account, the Google Analytics plugin for WordPress will have you up and running in minutes.

If you also use WordPress for its blogging capabilities, youll want to install the Sociable plugin and sign up for a Feedburner account to make sure you get the most out of your blog. Sociable allows people to submit your posts to social bookmarking sites like Digg, del.icio.us, Furl, Technorati, reddit, and StumbleUpon, which can be VERY effective for promoting extremely viral sites and articles. Feedburner (www.Feedburner.com) offers a plethora of advancements to your RSS feed for your posts, but from a SEO standpoint the most important thing is to configure it to automatically ping search engines and blog directories. This ensures that your posts always get indexed, and usually gets them indexed fast.

There you have it a perfectly optimized site using WordPress and other free tools in about a hundredth of the time it would take you if you built it from scratch!

One of the best ways to promote your products and website for free online is through writing and distributing your articles. A lot of ezine publishers and webmasters love free content and if you can provide them valuable articles, they will give you quality inbound links for your website that can give you a lot of exposure.

Here are the 4 priceless secrets to grow your article marketing:

1. Write from the readers' perspective. Keep your readers in mind when writing your articles. It would be better if you can put yourself in their shoes so you will better understand their needs and problems. By doing so, you will become more effective in imparting knowledge that they will find relevant and useful to their lives.

2. Create a compelling author's bio. Most publishing sites will allow you to introduce yourself through your author's bio page. Take advantage of this so your readers will get to know you more on a personal level. Tell them what you do for a living, for fun, and what makes you a great marketer that they should trust. Don't forget to include your most recent photos so they can associate your personal information with a face.

3. Pick the best topics. By this, I mean write about topics that are highly related to your products and services so you will be able to drive quality traffic to your website. For instance, if you are selling wedding dresses, you can write about "Designer wedding dresses", "Where to get cheap but quality wedding dresses", etc. When you do, you will be able to attract the people who are most likely to buy your products.

4. Bank on the quality of your articles. The success of your article marketing campaign largely depends on the quality of your articles. When people see that your articles are well-written and content-rich they are most likely to click on your resource box as they will instantly regard you as an expert on your chosen niche.

If you have spent time and money down the drain waiting for "word of mouth" to kick in, or multiple hours on networking meetings, you may want to investigate this number one way to publicize your service or products. Beginners welcome. And, once you learn the skills, you can delegate it all to your office assistant.

Here's the Top Ten Reasons to Publicize Your Business

1. It's free.

Top web sites and article directories want your articles. Thousands of daily visitors come to find out more about different topics. They appreciate your knowledge and unique approach to it. They get the articles free. You get to include your powerful web bio or signature file that attracts new people to your web site where your sales letters for your seminars, products, and service are, as well as any business that needs new customers.

2. You can reach from 10,000 to 500,000 of your targeted audience each day that you submit an article.

Your specific audience surfs the top sites and article directories that offer many categories, including yours. They will read your tips and ideas, and if they like them, will visit your web site to see more. When your articles get published, you will be in the top 10-20 pages of the search engine listings.

Remember Bill Gates' prediction: After 2000, you either take your business online, or you won't have one.

3. You will spend far less time promoting online than more traditional ways.

When you spend about a half hour a day each week writing a short article from 200-800 words, you will collect at least five to start to submit. Then write a new one each week to build your article bank and your bank account. The easy part? You then delegate the submissions to your low-cost office computer assistant. Total time promoting? Less than eight hours a week. This organic, natural way to bring targeted visitors to your site will build your reputation and by six months you'll be a household name in your field. For Six years, your coach has practiced this method-and found it to be far better than pay-per-click and other techie ways.

At first, you'll send out to a list of ten high-traffic sites from a list of over 100URLs well researched and updated each six months by your coach. Then, you will add to that and eventually send five articles out 2 x a week to over 100 web sites that offer your category. Remember, business people buy. They want how tos, travel information, book information and all kinds of services, including personal growth.

As your article numbers and list to submit to grow, so will your bank account. When you Google your name you'll see yourself on many other web sites. Maybe 800 the first six months, then over 129,000 after five years. This organic way is viral marketing at its best.

The more, the merrier, because your articles not only put you in the top ten sites through the search engines, but bring you many new product buyers, potential clients, and new customers.

4. Submitting articles is seven times as effective as any other promotion because when you submit many articles, you become known as the savvy expert in your field. And they attract your targeted market.

You may start with just two or three, but each week after creating a new one with a different angle or audience, this outstanding viral marketing technique will bring many new opportunities because many of the people who read them will contact you to publish your articles on their site. See how the good word spreads?

5. You can raise your own ezine subscribers from 10-25 every day you submit an article to multiple web sites and article directories.

If you submit four or five articles a month to 20 web sites, after six months of regular submissions, you'll get 1000s of links to your site. When you up level your signature file to send with each submission, readers will click to your URL and your sales will roll on endlessly.

After reading six or seven of your ezines, your targeted audience who came to you through these articles, trusts you more, believes in you, and eventually becomes a client or customer.

6. You reach your targeted audience..

Let's say you are a career coach. You write articles that relate to that topic. You send them to top web sites or article directories each week. Your audience visits these sites because they want and need your information. They notice your fabulous web bio and go for your free offer. Or, you have vacation rentals and want to fill your rooms every week, not just for the weekends and holidays. When they read your interesting, helpful articles, they will think of your web site when they are ready to act.

This personal, but streamlined method of advanced article marketing is far better than article blasting services because you directly hit your targeted audience--wanting what you have to offer. And you know who published your articles by the email the sites send you within a day or so.

Please avoid buyer's remorse and craziness as happened to me when I went against my intuition and got an article marketing service. It just didn't work and I wasted hundreds of dollars and my assistant's time that also cost.

7. You and your web site become a household name.

Once thousands of people have read your articles, they will share your information with their friends and associates. The web sites you submit to want new information daily so their visitors will keep coming back. You'll want to post your articles on your web site too, so your audience will keep visiting you. Once you start hearing from people all over the world who want to know more about your service, you can become an international name.

It's not who you know. It's who knows you. The internet changes your promotion game in ways you'll appreciate, because you will not have to spend much time or money promoting.

8. You can promote straight from your home or office.

Right now, I'm looking out my office window to trees, birds, and sunny skies. Yes, it's San Diego. You too can enjoy promotion more because you don't have to go out to sell or tell. With just a little training on how to write these articles fast and powerful, you'll be creating them like you would a new recipe. Your creativity will expand, and you'll feel good you promote the easy, fun way.

Adapt my life motto "If it isn't easy and fun, I just won't do it." Why should promotion be such a struggle? It's natural to share about our service, but it's easier when we are relaxed in our own setting. Sure, phone conversations and networking are fun, but not nearly as productive for the time and money spent as writing and submitting articles are.

9. This number one promotion technique is viral marketing at its best.

In the beginning months, all ten of my articles got published. Friendly people from all over emailed me asking permission to use my articles on their sites or in their ezines. Thrilled, I kept track of their email address after asking permission to send my new articles straight to their email door.

Remember, the gold is in the list. Keep a list of all people's emails who are interested in you and send articles to them on a regular basis. Now, we have a place where visitors can leave their email and continue to get new articles each week.

When you keep submitting articles you can get that high Google rating, and more importantly, attract your preferred audience to your web site. So you can build your data base and collect three, four, and more times your present income.

The amazing thing is as a newbie and a non-techie, who started in fear of the net, yet with the help of a few mentors, books and teleclasses, I figured out how to play and succeed. You can too.

10. Just the key words you use in your article titles and copy can put you in the top 20 web sites in your field.

Your key words will include your full name, your business category, your city, and other phrases that people will type into Google.com to find out more about your topic. When a web master wanted me to use Overture or Google to buy key words to optimize my web site's position, I wondered why? Articles do the job better, naturally, and don't cost a dime to write.

This list could go on, because as one person sees your articles, they make offers you can't refuse. You will get published in other author's books, in print media, or found by groups who want to use your service or product.

Most web site owners don't write only their own articles, they are constantly looking for your how-to articles. You can be published in thousands of them!

Writing and submitting articles is the friendliest way I know of promoting online. When you are ready, give it a chance.

Article writing and submitting is the best publicity and promotion effort so far.Think of the categories you can write your articles in. Start writing short articles now, and see how this great exposure to eager online readers and web surfers will bring big business success.

As a new freelance writer trying to build a client base, you probably know that gaining a steady stream of paying writing jobs can be difficult. The internet is one of the most important free resources you can use to your advantage when first establishing a freelance writing business. While you probably realize the importance of having an online portfolio or website, you may not be aware of the many possible ways to draw potential clients to your website. One of the easiest ways to gain free exposure as a freelance writer is to write articles and submit them to free directories. Free article directories allow writers a bio paragraph, which is where you will link to your website. Every time someone reads one of your articles, they will see your website link and hopefully be inspired to follow through.

What should you write articles about? Well, that depends on what kind of writing you do and who your target client audience is. If you want to get copywriting jobs, for example, you could write an article called "How to Choose a Copywriter" or "How to Hire the Best Copywriter for the Job" or even "How Much to Pay a Copywriter." Consider keywords and keyphrases that someone interested in hiring a copywriter might use in a search, and use those key terms in your articles.

How important is a title, really? The title of your article is as important, if not more important, than the entire body of your article. Your title will show up most in search engines. It is important to make your title's first few words the most important ones. You will also want to make sure that your full title is unique, and that it will attract the attention of the reader. Don't try to be clever. Use the body of your article for creativity. Your title should make your reader want to choose your article above the other similar ones that will be listed along-side yours in the directory. If a reader only has time to read one article, you want to make sure it's yours.

Is writing one or two articles enough? Writing one or two articles is better than not writing any at all. The more unique articles you write, the more visitors you will likely draw to your site, and every visitor to your site is a potential client. By writing and submitting an article every week or so, you will be drawing in new traffic each week, meaning your client flow will probably be more steady than if you submitted a dozen articles all at once and then did not submit any for the next six months.

Make Article Marketing Work for You

Article marketing is possibly one of the most effective, free methods of advertising your online business available. What could be easier than writing a few articles, adding them to a free directory and sitting back to watch the traffic roll in? Unfortunately, it is not quite that simple. In fact, you will need some strategies if you plan to actually make your articles work for you. This article covers several methods to take full advantage of article marketing for your business.

First of all, the kind of article that you write determines the majority of your success. If you turn out a 2,000 word essay on your niche, it is very unlikely that anyone will pick it up. Likewise, a 250 word piece of fluff wont be going anywhere either! In order to be effective, the perfect promotional article needs to be around 400-600 words long, the preferred length by webmasters and ezine publishers alike.

Your article should offer good information. After all, if you just blather on about nothing in particular, why would anyone want to buy your product or visit your website? On the other hand, if you give solid tips and leave them drooling for more, you will end up with a lot more visitors to your site!

The next thing to consider is your resource box. Most resource boxes are boring and no one even bothers to read them, let alone click on the links contained within it. The trick is to make your resource box grab your reader by the throat and make him desperate to learn more! For example, instead of writing, John Doe is an affiliate guru who lives in California. For more affiliate info, check out his website . . . . Why not put something like If you arent earning $100 a day, you are missing out! Get what you deserve at www. . . . . See how much more interesting the second one was?

Once you have a great article and a catchy resource box, what do you do? Submit to every directory you can find, right? Wrong. The best way to get your articles noticed is not to submit them to any directory at all. In fact, you will be far better off aiming for specific websites and ezines. Choose one or two websites that are most likely to publish your article and approach them directly. Let them know that you have an exclusive article for them that you will allow to be published free, as long as they include the resource box.

Highly targeted markets can be far better for bringing in traffic than random ones who pick up your article in a directory. This is because your article will be in front of thousands of people who are actually interested in your content. Also, if the article goes out in an ezine, people will respect it as a recommendation from the list owner and are more likely to click on your link.

By following these tips, you can boost the effectiveness of your article marketing drastically. It is worth taking the time to write a high quality article, add a great resource box and then market it to specifically targeted websites. Success is only a matter time!

While there are various ways to generate website traffic, most webmasters are focusing their efforts on article marketing as it is considered the most uncomplicated traffic-generating technique, yet it is the most powerful in terms of augmenting the number of online visitors and pulling up the search engine ranking.

1. Be familiar with the terms of different publishing sites. There are hundreds of article submission sites in the internet today and all of them have unique set of rules and regulations. Before you sink your teeth into this technique, make sure that you understand each publishing site's terms to keep your articles from being rejected.

2. Make your articles search-engine friendly. Your articles must be optimized so they can easily be found when your potential audience search for your content. It is important that you write articles around keyword and key phrases that are being searched for if you want your articles to be widely read.

3. Your articles must be reader-friendly. To increase your readership, it is crucial that you have the ability to provide your readers with useful, interesting content. By doing so, you will not only please your readers but you will also increase the chances of your articles being republished and widely distributed online.

4. Make sure that your articles are original. One of the reasons why articles are being rejected by publishing sites is because of duplicate content. To save you from revising and re-writing your articles, make sure that they not copied from other sites.

Exploding your article marketing campaign is easy. As long as your articles are publisher-friendly, search-engine-friendly, and reader-friendly, you can be assured that your click through rate will soar high.

If you are wondering why your articles disappear a couple of weeks after they hit the first page of Google, you want to read this article.

Many people wonder were is this 'magic' lifetime traffic everyone is talking about, but the problem is that they start with highly competitive niches like Internet marketing or make money online.

Should you submit articles with the same keywords again and again or you need to alternate the keywords for different articles?

Or do you need to ignore those keyphrases since you know that your articles won't last long in the different search engines?

First, your rankings have a lot to see with the keyword you choose for your articles.

Secondly, it depends on your niche as well. For example, when you start with one of the most competitive niches, you have thousands and thousands of competitors submitting articles with the exact same keywords.

I am not saying that you can't make money in a competitive niche. You can, but other niches are not so crowded and your articles will be found more often in the search engines.

I would advise to vary the keywords you are targeting. Plus you don't need to always write with your keywords in mind. The more articles you get out there, the more income.

As for articles disappearing for the search results after a couple of weeks, this is normal. Competition is one of the factor that affect your rankings. Plus you also have an initial boost when you are on the first page of the article directory.

But remember, it's a web page and every single web page need a lot of incoming links to rank well.

Keep writing articles with great keywords and long tails as well. Don't give up. Remember that article marketing works very well for smaller niche.

To find more great keywords for your articles, you need to use the wordtracker tool. They have a free trial as well.

By using Overture, a keyword suggestion tool, you will find that millions of searches done to a certain keywords. When these keywords are typed into search engine like Google and Yahoo, indexed websites which contain these keywords will be displayed as the search results. This is how traffic can be generated using articles, the same concept applies.

Again, 'content is king'. This is why writing article is one of the most utilized marketing media today. Internet surfers just can't get enough information from various fields, that is why writing article is a surefire way to get targeted traffic to your websites.

If you have a talent for writing, (and you do not have to be a Shakespeare), writing articles in order to spread the word about your product or service, or even an affiliate link can be an excellent method of promoting your online business.

Make sure the articles give out information which is relevant to the specific niche you are in, and are not just a blatant advertisement for your business. Indeed you will find that some article directories will not let you put in any links in the body of your article. The proper place to do that is in the resource box at the bottom of the article. This link refers back to your promotional web page which is again relevant to the subject of your article. Google does not like an article on dog training, for instance, linking back to a web page on cookery.

Articles are submitted to a variety of article directories, some of which will automatically publish an article, while others require a human review before acceptance. Submission can be done manually, one at a time, through an article submission program, or by using a paid submission service. I prefer this last method, as I can submit to a whole lot more article directories, and submitting them one by one takes up far too much time for me, time which would be better spent on business promotion.

Article submission is fine in itself, but it can become much more effective when it is combined with the proper use of an autoresponder.

This method starts with you loading up your article in your autoresponder, and each article must have its own unique autoresponder address, so you will need to be with an autoresponder service which allows this. You will find one service which does in my resource box at the bottom.

The next thing is to make a comprehensive list of all your articles together with those addresses. Use a spreadsheet to do this, as you can add the article description and a brief summary of the contents (or anything else) in as many columns as you require.

Put this list into your autoresponder, again giving it its own special address. Then you just use this address as your link on your website, or in your ezine, or even in forums. This way you only have to have one address in your advertising, but this address allows access to all your other articles, all of it running on autopilot.

Before you use this technique, make sure you try it out by logging in to the address yourself. You want any mistakes you have made to be picked up by you, not your customers.

Load up your own email address, and then try every possible thing you can think of that other people may also try. In other words, test the system thoroughly before you let it loose on to the general public.

Remember to use the autoresponder manual. There may be extra features in there that you did not know about, and which could be useful. All this time spent testing and tracking will pay off in the long run, as autoresponders, used properly, are one of the most essential tools of the professional internet marketer. In fact there would be not one person making a full time living off the internet who does not have an autoresponder service, and a lot of them use the same one. So if you want to join the big time gurus, don't go with a free autoresponder - use these when you only have a small list, and are not really interested in hitting the big money. Spend the small monthly charge and get a professional autoresponder service - it will repay that monthly fee many times over.
