What is SEO?

SEO is the acronym that stands for "Search Engine Optimisation," an imperative and vital component of internet marketing and web presence. Simply put, SEO is what gets your website to the top of the web search engines (such as Google, Yahoo! and MSN, to name only a few.)

Second to e-mail, searching the web through the web search engines is the most popular activity performed on the internet. Web users use the search engines more than anything, and so it is of utmost importance that your website finds itself in the top results of the searches performed.

Because of the organic nature of web searching, and the many different formulas used by the web search engines, SEO targets both specific keywords and key phrases that link in with your niche market and ensures that your website is fully optimised in a way that when anyone uses these keywords or key phrases, on the web search engine, the results brought back include your website as one of the best results.

A Checklist of SEO Services Available

The top services available in the SEO field are:

Search Engine Optimisation

The basic SEO process involves designing your website, and creating content on your website, that allows the search engine spiders and robots to scan your site easily, and find your website highly relevant, valuable, and more superior than that of your competitors.

PPC

PPC (Pay per Click) is a highly effective advertising method, both in cost and in result. Successful companies like Amazon and eBay have been employing this method for years. Here, you can target the correct search phrase and therefore target the specific client you want. PPC also means you only pay for the advertising if the advertising actually brings visitors to your site.

Link Building

Your reputation and presence on the web is enhanced by your inbound links (websites that link to you) and outbound links (websites you link to.) If, for instance, a popular website links to you; this will increase your search engine ranking. Effective link building leads to much more desirable results for your internet presence, not only through the search engines but also through those websites that link to you.

So, what are the benefits?

Each of these services has unique benefits that can clearly be seen. This is why the most well-established and successful e-Commerce websites still employ these methods.

Your website may sell the most amazing product in the world, at the best price; and your website may even consist of stunning graphics and great content; but as important as all of these are, if you simply cannot be found you simply cannot do business. With the SEO services listed above, done effectively, you are guaranteed to see significant and comprehensive results with the visitors AND conversions at your website. No person or company, who wants their website to be seen, used and enjoyed by web users, can afford not to employ expert SEO services for their website. Statistics show that a staggering 60% of web-users will click only on the first page of their search result, and another 90% of users will only click on the first three results listed on that page. These numbers show that SEO is vital to the success of your online business.

So, how do you get free one-way links? It is pretty much a given at this point that you need lots of one-way links going to your site to get a decent rank in search engines. There is no way around it, you have to get those links and if you are anything like me then you probably would prefer getting them for free. You could buy them and many do but oddly enough, in this situation one of the best and most effective ways of promoting your site is, in fact, developing free one-way links. You can develop these free links in any number of ways such as article promotion or press releases etc.

No matter which way you do get your links you should realize that the quality of the link is a very important factor in the mix. Google and the other search engines like to know that the websites they list are providing value because if they do provide that value people will come back and that's how they make their money.

One of the ways the search engines judge the value of a website is by the quality of the website that gets linked to it. What this means is that you could beat your brains are getting 5000 links but if you're links came from sites that were considered authority sites by the search engines than you could get the same amount of value from 50 high page rank sites.

Age is a big factor in whether or not a website is considered an authority site. Content is another and some of the oldest content rich websites online are the software directories. These sites got to where they are by listing software, huge amounts of software, to people that were there for one reason. Free one-way links. Essentially you list your software with them and in return they give you a free link back to your site.

These are extremely valuable one-way links specifically because of where they are coming from. Okay, that's great but now I know you are going to say; software, what do I know about software? Remember this is a very old and very accepted way of getting backlinks, free one-way backlinks. So,if you look around it is a very simple matter to find websites that offer you ways to develop your own software. It is very simple matter because they know that there is a need because this is an extremely good way to get free one-way links.

Yes I know it is a bit of a circle but nonetheless you can easily find applications for developing small bits of software such as screen savers, toolbars, e-books or RSS readers. This software is all extremely easy to develop with no technical knowledge required in the process.

Here's how you do it. Go to Google and knock in "screen saver maker" if you wanted to make screen saver software. The page that comes up in this particular instance will have 1,880,000 returns, or at least it did when I did it. All of the websites listed will have something to do with making screen saver software. That's a lot of choice and you will get the same results for each of the different bits of software that I mentioned above. Not only that but you will find that a fairly large number of them are extremely inexpensive to buy and most have a free trial.

The next step is to follow some very simple instructions that will allow you to create your ".exe file" which is your software. You then create a "Pad File" with your .exe file details and submit this file to the software directories, Bob's your uncle you have some extremely high page rank free one-way links.

To learn the full story and everything you need to know with some very simple instruction for generating literally hundreds of Free One Way Links from high page rank authority websites, a method that is simple, easy, very fast and requires no technical skills whatsoever go to seo.10000backlinks.com.

The Value of Backward Links

What is the value of each backward link that is pointing to your website? I am not writing about the monetary value, I am writing about the value in terms of search engine ranking. This is an important question and the answer can help us to plan our link building campaign.

I personally believe that a one-way link from an old established and trusted site is the most powerful link that you can obtain, especially if it is within the same industry as your own website. A site that has been around for say ten years and is well placed for its own main keywords has obviously been doing the right things throughout this period. To obtain a link on these types of websites is like striking gold, however do not fall into the trap of paying for these links as Google have recently started to wage war on the whole paid links industry.

All links have a value and it is also prudent to obtain smaller value links, in large numbers, from sites which are perhaps just staring out and of which may seem to have only a small amount of page rank value. These sites, may well be quite new, however may well become a gold mine site of the future.

If you have a link that has been placed on a site for quite a long time, perhaps say three years, then this link is likely to have a higher value than a link that has been on a similar site for only three months. Paid links are normally purchased for a rental period of one month, three months, six months or twelve months. If your link has survived for longer than twelve months it is likely that the major search engines will then start trusting that you have not paid for it.

Some people say that obtaining links is not about the quantity but more about the quality, I personally disagree, it is about both. Any link campaign should include spending part of your time attempting to obtain top quality backward links and the other part should be concentrated on obtaining the large volume of backward links.
